There was a reason why people said X and A will make your day. Of all glitches they had to fix that one. Why not the Terrible Tuchanka Crate?

Still, BioWare doesn't want to release a DLC or game that affects progression and then get blamed for leaving a glitch in the game.

You're allowed to mod as much as you want (BioWare hasn't spoken out against it), but that leaves all the responsibility in your hands if it does happen to mess up the save file or game.

Like I said. To each his own. You dont mod, is fine, you like to enjoy a game, with its flaws and strengths.

I like to enjoy a game without flaws, and fix those Bioware was too......busy to see.

My problemw as simple. Now I gota spent 5 times more time, to do the same I did with a+x lol

If the "original code" says ref=1234, and you modded it to ref=5000, the next game wont HAVE any idea you did anything, just as long as I change it back to ref=1234.
Code was just made up from something I remembered  from Rome total war :P

It was just 1 glitch. it wasn't used in mass. Most use it not to add points but to "redistribute" them.
Like Darth explained which is a much better explanation. Fixing the glitch, is a way to use you, the stubborn ones, to capitalize on anything they might be able to do with level cap. Simple.

I am very stingy, so I rather change my own lv, than buy it. I find those 5-10 bucks better spent going to watch a movie.
Now if you dont mind, is ok. Like I initially stated, to each, his/her own way.

I wont get the patch, and I found how to get overlord without it. And just Like, the Lori...quin?(forgot his name) glitch, this wont be that much of a difference.

Glitches aren't worth getting rid of, or spending resources in them, UNLESS they are doing something that potentially takes away my power to capitalize on its purpose.

And Glitches aren't worth worrying about, unless you heavily abuse them.

Like DA: I just modify my skills there, but you put too many skills and it will crash more times. than rooster trying to fly.

But again to each his own.

Aaahhhh... now I get it- They could raise the level cap in Overlord to level 40 or whatever. We'd be able to keep earning points to put in the same number of powers, and thus max out more of them, like in the x-a glitch... now I get it...
For my part, I'll probably get the DLC anyways, just to keep playing the game. It'll help develop a new Shepard, which is what I'm thinking of doing soon anyways. I wonder if a lot of people would buy the DLC just to get a raised level cap...

Patch wonderful, love the planet scanning speedup. Ok to fix glitch, people that used it should not be surprised that it was fixed - it was an obvious bug.

They don't have to raise the level cap now, but there's always the possibility of later.

Unfortunately, some people are too stubborn to admit BIoware just made a very very stupid mistake, and not always have us in mind when adding or removing things from a game.

But to each his/her own thoughts.

Since it was never intended to be in the game to begin with your point is invalid.

Bioware, any chance we can get the collector chitin armour as dlc, because not everyone has the collector edition, also some new hairstyles would be nice, seems you HAVENT CREATED ANY NEW ONES SINCE MASS EFFECT 1... please bioware... it would be great.

No. Collector's Edition armor is just that.

It's not going to be sold as DLC. BW has said as much.

And rightly so. There's a principle behind you not getting it.

I was promised exclusive content if I traded up to the CE. Part of that was the armor and rifle. To release it to the masses actually violates that contract.

I totally agree about the hair though. I'd pay a good 160 points for 4 or 5 new style options.

so.........we have a meeting. We brain storm. We decide. A stealth game in the future must have....... I duno....night vision goggles.

They ommited that....coz......they just forgot ......technical oversight, bad planning, poor management. Just a big (duh duh).

So we the consumer modded the game and added night vision goggles. You think, is wrong to put them in. We think is right.

In the end, we both enjoy the game in different ways...some more than others. Like stated before, to each his own playstyle.

Planet scanning is almost too easy now. I used to be able to eat a sandwich, post on a message board, write the great American novel... all while planet scanning. Now all I can do is just scan.

Neither unlimited skill points (or night vision goggles) are features of the game.

They didn't forget.

It wasn't bad planning, poor management, or a technical oversight.

It was never intended to be part of the game. It is an exploit. A cheat.

Your point is still completely invalid.

:?

They dumbed down the scanning of empty planets?

That means unpatched Mass Effect 2 is the true RPG! Patched ME2 is for Gears of War playing wannabes.

Quick everyone, polarize the debate!

*takes comment seriously*

Seriously, ME 2 is more like GRAW 2 than Gears of War.

*adds sarcasm*
This dumbing down of planet scanning is really infuriating, it reminded me of the disconnect of such games like Battlezone and X-Com. This younger generation doesntt know good gaming when it slaps them in the face. **** why can't people learn some patience, does everything have to applied at hyperspeed?

That is your point I understand.

But....."night vision goggles, were featured in the last games", and "freedom of choice" was featured in ME 1.

You mistaken my views. I dont max my skills, which I have repedeately said and most fail to read.

My whole fight, is for my ability to choose, where I assign MY points. If I want to cram them up miranda's god like butt, I want the ability to do so. They did so, in ME 1.

But thought taking it out was good for ME2.You agree, I disagree.

Take splinter cell for example......who the hell thought to not allow US to be able to carry bodies and hide them in Conviction???...really that is a no brainer.....it has been doing it for every game until then...and suddenly, is not there?

Well. THey said "there wasn't the space for it"

Ok....reasonable excuse, but is bad planning. Spying means hiding...and leaving bodies in the middle of th street doesn't mean hiding.

Take for example ME 1:
When I increased my points in Pistols....shotgun became available, no points were magically added.
ME2: did the same thing, no points added when new abilities were unlocked....except for 1.....why?????

Some say, is because you finish a quest, and it is given to you for free. True.
Then why did the quest in ME1 to become a specter, gave you free points added to your reserve...instead..........

Is simple logic. "do I add the point there....OR do I just let the player decide......nah nah I can choose for them"

GOod gaming companies know not to choose for the player. they did it in ME1...why didn't they follow the same good plan?, who knows.

But ok.

I AM WRONG:devil:, you are right:innocent:, there! you will enjoy your game with your pride intact:police:, I will enjoy mine without my pride:bandit:....but also without any flaws:O.

Hey Bioware, you should make a new update for the characters to level up more, because 30 really isn't enough and well it would be nice to upgrade the abilities :) just throwing a thought out there.

As soon as I  read the talent points issue I knew this was gonna be a hot topic.  Purists were gonna say "GOOD!"  Power Trippers (Like me) "SUCKS!"  It's the forcing thing I dont like.  "You must do this or we say you can't participate in the game you legally purchased for a half days wage.  Thank you for the money and allowing us to impose our authority upon you".  I dunno maybe I'm overreacting.  But................  c'mon the game is about options.
