If this glitch with the skill points can possibly corrupt a file transfer would it be possible to release an update that would allow us to choose to have our characters points reset to the cap amount should we choose it?
Simple, get Gibbed editor, and just assign the original points.
Erase all the skills they have and with the original amount of points just lv the skills accordingly. And you'll have it as it was originally intended.VANGUARD_omega wrote...
God!!! no pics no youtube link!? I
just wanna see what the new mining upgrade looks like! Pretty
please.
Imagine the radar twice as big, and going 3-5 times faster. Also the rotation of the planet is incredibly fast so it takes no time to do anything.
---------------------
I found something that wasn't happening before, so I think it is the patch.
I tested it in all files, modded, glitched, and originals and in every single one it happens.
Now instead of the ammo powers, Grunt, Legion and Jacob, have almost the same annoying habit, but instead of being ammo, is now their barriers. And yes ammo usage is turned of, so they only use defensive ones. IN the case of Legion grunt and Jacob is their shield powers. But it is just pushing it; now most of the time they activate their sheilds powers just as their cooldown from the previous shield activation expires. So they repedeately use their shields powers. They do this while I am engaged, even if they are left outside of combat and their shields have suffered no damage. Now instead of me not being able to issue them ammo powers, I just can't use any of their powers...lol
At first I thought it was... well their shields are down so they do it. But I tried outside of combat:
AKA in between fights they did not do anything, but inside combat, I left them out of the fight so their shields would not suffer, and it always the same.
They are 90% of the time in cooldown mode, because they won't stop using their shield powers.
To my surprise...or better said lack of one , I did maintaneance on my xbox, got rid of the patch, and ....it did not happended anymore.

He simply stated that your suggestion of using an editor works for a PC, but he's using a 360. As correctly pointed out then, on console your suggestion isn't an option.

I have to admit that annoyed me. I understand the reasoning, and it worked well with adrenaline rush, but having it happen every time you sprint for cover can get tiresome.Cyberstrike nTo wrote...
Or a patch that stops voices start slowing down (they sound like voices in slo-mo) when you use the zoom on the sniper's rifle or run during combat?

Don't be so sure if you reimport your mass effect 2 to replay through it just asks you to pic a saved game from the profile even one that has been played after the game is completed

oh. But you can mod still on console. Not as many things. But a few.
Not quite sure what he wnated to change, or would have liked Bio to have change.

Valid point. I hope you'll be right about this ME2->ME3 import thing.

There I fixed it for you.....there's only a big fat sticky in the general non-spoiler discussion explaining how to mod the 360 version and YES we do use a save editor.....the same save editor as the PC gamers.

I hate to break this to you but most 360 games have a save editor or another........

Look we can all talk about modding a console but some of us are not able to mod another persons system not to mention it is illegal to mod a system. But I cannot do what you suggested due to the fact my cousin owns the system and wouldn't let me mod it even If I paid him.
Not to mention some of us are not fans of screwing around in things such as software. Especially when its considered a felony to modify a gaming console or game in the united states.
What I am asking for is a legal and practical solution that is safe with the ability to be optional yet does not require you to break the law.
If you do not believe me about it being illegal to mod a system try asking team gizka why they won't release KOTOR 2 mods for a system.
using a hacking system such as a replay, a game shark, or a game genie have been legalized since they are temporary but doing what you suggested is a very big felony.
So do not say my self or any others were wrong in saying that it is not possible to do it to a system. Since some gamers still respect the law. yes your way could work but it is illegal and dangerous if you do something wrong.
SO I am asking for a game patch DLC or update that would allow the points to be removed should you choose it. or if thats not possible then one that just removes the excess points to prevent corruption

/facepalm OMFG I am seriously tired of explaining this a trillion freaking times. Modding ME2 does NOT involve modding the system or doing anything in any way forbidden...the ONLY thing you are actually modding is a save file NOT the 360 or its software. NOBODY has EVER been banned for modding the save file of a single player game and nobody ever will. You do NOT have to JTAG your console nor do you have to use any unauthorized software on your consle.....it's 100% safe and clean. If you as much as looked at the thread I linked you should have known that.
Seriously the ammount of clueless banter in that post just boggles the mind......how about actually looking at the thread I linked and see what it actually details before you start on the high road of righteous cluelessness and telling me about things completely unrelated to what I was talking about.

I am not asking nor did I ask to have a way to mod a file I asked for a patch to remove excess if required to prevent corrupted transfer. I used the glitch on one game just to give it a shot I want to undo it. I will not nor will I ever screw around in a systems files.
If it is so legal and safe as you put it I would like to see Cristina Norman come on her and tell me to mod my cousins systems game files. But you also forget any warranty I have on the ME2 game I own would be voided by me doing this.
Instead of preaching about how to mod a system trying learning that some people have better things to do then sit around and as joker put it so kindly "Sit around punching pi all day"
Also your arguments would hold better water if you stopped crossing out what everyone says that you don't agree with

You are just scared of being banned and refuse to see reason and for the trillionth freaking time you do NOT mod the system.....at all.....not one tiny bit. You take a save out through a storage device, you change a handful of ones and zeroes and then you put it back without ever in any way touching the system or its software and if it was illegal BioWare wouldn't allow the instructions to doing be a sticky as it has been for quite a while.
It's not a matterof agreeing or disagreeing it's a matter of pure cluelessneess......it's like claiming that it's illegal to say the sky is blue......no matter how hard you may believe it it's still completely wrong.

Do you even know that constantly saying mod the system you're talking about the hard ware not the files.
Modifying the files is unethical illegal and only for those who have the time. Bioware can't be held responsible for your mod sticky since they didn't write it. So that is why it is left up. I for one am not scared of being banned I came on here and asked a question you. Young sir have just been badgering me to modify a file when I told you clearly I had no interest in doing so. Two try to stop preaching trillions of times it comes off childish.
Three I said I am old school meaning I have known how to modify a game since long before you were born. Like I stated previously though I have no interest. The only time I ever agree with moding is when a file or format is corrupted on retro games where you have to go in and fix it your self. I do not see ME2 as retro nor do I see a need to a reason to put up with your trolling.
Now I know you don't work for bioware so please shut up and go bother someone else. But before calling my claims nonsense why don't you look into the laws revolving around consoles the games and the countries. For now look at the ESRBs laws.
now good sir Shut up and you see reason that I will not do something that I so no reason in doing.

Yes.....I'm sure whatever deity you may/not believe in will be highly dissapointed in you and when the cops show up to arrest you they'll load all your gamesaves up and spend hours analyzing them for irregularities and then they'll spend more time doing research to see if they were due to unintentional bugs/gltiches, exploits or modding......and they'll be very dissapointed in you.
You're in the conventional level, fourth stage of Kohlberg's moral develoment theory and it is ridiculously hilarious....no worries though.....you still got another level and two more stages to go.

Everyone got their own ways of doing things. Those stubborn enough to cling to "pure gaming" even after every achievement has been gotten, will do so no matter what. Bio relies on them for income source when they buy a lv cap increase or what not.
We'll all enjoy the game, us more than them, but still.
Some individuals aren't practical....hehehe I just remembered, a good quote for this dilema. Like Captain Bailey said from c-sec "sometimes things need to get done without a committee vote"...good quote...very nice quote.

your very interesting with that quote but I believe I Stated the system is not mine. it belongs to my cousin who wouldn't let me mod it even if it was the end of the world. It has nothing to do with pure gaming. But it has to do with ethics I won't touch the files because they may be my saves but not my hard drive so I asked for a legit way.

Well you can get your own USB flash drive and configure it for a 360 or you can buy one already configured and then it wouldn't even have to you someone else's storage device......yes? A little common sense please. You gotta love ethics I'll give you that......just did a major, semester-long, group college paper & presentation on ethics so I probably know more about where you are than you do as far as ethics go.
