your very interesting with that quote but I believe I Stated the system is not mine. it belongs to my cousin who wouldn't let me mod it even if it was the end of the world. It has nothing to do with pure gaming. But it has to do with ethics I won't touch the files because they may be my saves but not my hard drive so I asked for a legit way.

But either way I thought that quote by bailey was pretty good yes somethings are that way. But I also think Thaine said something interesting as well "You'd think C sec would have the tightest security around I see 14 flaws that a skilled assassin could exploit. 8 of which were here 2 years ago"

I understand. But you dont need a harddrive to play, you need a USB, and you wont be using his console nor his hardrive. And about the quote. I quoted the flaw of the system, Thane also quoted the flaw of the system. I am not sure why you referred to the quote regarding the modding issue....

Maybe modding has flaws?, or does it fix flaws? I uno.

Either way, If is not your hardrive, dont use his hardrive. My modded files are always in my USB, my hardrive only contains pure unglitched unmodded files.

Think of it as playing a pc game. You go to your friends house, and play a game on his pc, you take your previous save files in a USB....your modding your files not his, and nothing about it will intervene with w/e he wants to do.
Carry your ME files in your USB all the time, and there you go no harm done.

But if you just dont like modding then then thats your call.

but no, as far as I know alot of things can only be changed by modding them. Or waiting for Bioware to sell you the "fixes" or if they are nice enough getting a patch out...
ALthough from the looks of the last patch I dont know which is worse, the cure or the disease. I traded one old annoying AI habit for a new annoying AI habit lol.

CheersB)

My thane quote was they made the problem better and worse at the same time. yes it removed the glitch but at the same time screwed those who used it because they are stuck with the excess points.

What I said that I am trying to get through Is I asked on this forum for bio ware to do just that Release a fix I did not ask how to manually fix it. Two I would have to use his computer since mod boys instructions are not for mac only vista so usb files would be pointless anyway. I know what your all saying but I never asked how can I fix it I asked bio ware to if they were going to release a fix to prevent glitching when you transfer then to release something that would remove it the left over problem to begin with.

Yes it is true though they only half fixed the problem all I asked is they complete the patch.

Have a nice day yourself gentlemen hopefully another patch will be released soon

Wish they'd made the 15 minute intro skippable.

amen bro, amen.

ALso the OMega 4 battle cinematic as well.

Like most games, cinematics cannot be skipped until you have seen them once After that a nice little prompt of "press X to skip" in small letters in some corner of the screen would be greatly appreciated. P::P

I'm still curious as to what this means exactly.. I wasn't aware of any issues with enemies and cover, but I can think of plenty regarding your squad and cover.

Anyway, finally got a chance to try out the new patch and it's incredible how such a simple change to the scanning can have such a drastic effect. I don't just find it tolerable, I actually enjoy it now. Very nice. ;)

I think it's about one's that can fire through it at you, every once and a while you'll get one that can get you even when you're fully behind it.

Ah. Glad that was sorted out then. I like to know I'm being gunned down legitimately, rather than by some cheap cover-bypassing ammo power.

Golly, it sure would be nice to have this very specific list of import errors fixed.

At least some of them can be fixed through the save editor but the short answer is.....you don't want them fixed because there is no alternative and said characters would simply be missing.

I assume Steam will have the PC patch the same day everyone else gets it.

While on the subject of talent points:

1. What's the deal with some party members ending up with 32 total points, but others ending up with 31?

2. It's a bit late in the game (no pun intended) for this to be brought up, but why the dumbing down of the talent point system? Mass Effect 1's talent point system was much better, IMO. Better customization of the characters, and no chance of getting stuck with 1 or 2 extra points that you can't do anything with.

On a similar note, why not implement the means of respecializing in a new weapon? At a certain point in the game, we have the opportunity to "learn" to use an additional weapon or get a the next higher tier of a weapon we can already use.

So, when we make a second playthrough with a given character and we come to that point in the game, why not allow us to choose something different? I mean, we can already reset our talent points anytime we want at the cost of a little bit of element zero. It seems fairly reasonable to allow us to specialize in a new weapon at least once every playthrough.

So, we fixed the ammo issue. Great. But why do squaddies with defensive powers now spam them? I'm talking Grunt's Fortification, Jacob's Barrier, and presumably Legion's Geth Shield Boost (though I haven't tested that last one yet).

I posted the problem in previous pages.

Like I said, we traded one annoying AI habit for another equally annoying lol.

I mean At least before, I could use Legion, sAI hacking or something, now they are always spamming the damn things....so frustrating.

Do the Squadmates still do ****** things like jump out of cover and stand in the open when they don't need to? THAT is the biggest bug that should have had priority for fixing. Also the fact that you could tell your squadmates to do something AND THEY JUST IGNORE YOU. Forget any other fix... those are more important imho.

Of course they do. My personal favorite is when they just cannot stay in one spot. I was doing Grunt's recruit mission last night, during the fight before Okeer, I just sat there and watched as Miranda literally darted back and forth like a ping pong ball between cover, barely taking any time to recover shields. Finally she gets blown to hell by a heavy, I was like..."serves you right". Also, I've learned to just not give them orders anymore. It's completely broken. Every time I tell them where to go, they end up getting knocked back by whatever, suddenly forget how to get back into cover and just stand there taking fire. Either that or they'll end up crouched in front of the cover rather than glued, so they'll be firing at nothing but the crate in front of them. I really hope they smooth out these little AI bugs before Mass Effect 3 rolls around. :alien:

Regarding news for ME3, we probably won't hear news or see a teaser until like early 2012.  The release cycle for each Mass Effect game is approximately two and a half years.  They also said that they would release dlc that would be set between ME2 and ME3.

I like how bioware spent time fixing the x+a glitch rather than actually solving the squad AI problems. Seriously. Total waste of time.

You don't just quickly fix AI issues in a patch.
