1. I only used the patch for full completion of skills. I can easily play without it, the game is easy one way or another, even on insanity. Like seriously 1-2 extra powers aren't going to make a difference...especially seeing as the skills that I would not normally get are just as good on level 1 or aren't really useful at all, it just mostly just looks cool to have them all.
2. Bioware would not take out something that was purposely used and enjoyed by so many fans for nothing. If they did then the double hack glitch would be gone and the infinite paragon and renegade glitch would also be gone from BOTH mass effect games. But neither were removed. Also the infinite credit glitch from ME1 would be gone as well. Be none of these glitches were touched. It's obvious that Bioware removed them because they may have an impact for ME3. After all both games are likely to use the same combat engine so it would make sense to remove the skills glitch. If not and they just removed it because they didn't like it then that would be pretty hypocritical(for the reasons that I have stated above).
Anyway that's the only reason that I can see them removing the glitch. Even they did it just because they can. Then they are indeed hypocrites for not removing other glitches that people have used in the past.

trying to think of a way to download future stuff without having to submit to it.
My innitital idea, is :
1- dont log into your account
2-put your ME2 cd. Download updates to a memory card.
3- Download DLC overlord to that memory card.
4- Erase everything in that memory card except the DLC.
5- Start up ME2, log into your account transfer data to your hardrive without the patch.
Ima try it when overlord comes out see if it works.

I guess you really don't want to import into ME3.

Well one can always create a save that didn't use the x+A glitch and import that to ME3.

Christina Norman said that those that use the cheat might screw up your import file. Thus, can't use in ME3.

Then what's the point of the cheat? You only rob a character of one skill, and yourself 2 skills. Or have half of every skill.

And yet, they're patching that glitch. That's a whole canister of fail right there.

lol you just cant admit Bioware didn't solve the core problem behind putting points where they aren't wanted....
last time I check ME1, every point gained wasn't put wheever bioware decided but it was added to a reserve stock.
I used the glitch to just take points away. I dont have all skills maxed out or, made ungodly characters, so I doubt the system will have a problem with it.... if it DOES have a problem, i'll pass a game in casual, and there we go.

I distinctly remember someone
from Bioware saying they weren't going to patch the talent point glitch
as it wasn't something that hampered gameplay, like glitches that get
people stuck in walls.

No. The glitch allows for max points on all skills on all characters. However one can create a seperate end game save not using the glitch for safe import into ME3.

That's what I mean. What's the point? The points you already get can max out 3 abilities out of the four. And your character can still max's out all skills except for 2. Good enough.
Using the cheat maxes out the last 2 abilies, and your party's last ability. And screws you of ME3 import. And screws you of patchs just to get around your cheating. Plus will make you have to keep track of which characters are "useless" ME3 imports.
Again, what's the point of the cheat? Too much trouble.

Imagine it like this.
X game came out. and you get stuck to a wall, a simple glitch allows you to keep going. No harm done.
They had a creative failure, technical oversight.
Everyone knows Thane ammo power sucks.
I only have 2 questions....very very simple questions.
1st....WHY, who in bioware decided "hey, freedom of choice to assign points was a great hit in ME1....lets tone it down a bit...." makes no sense.
2nd. Why waste resources fixing this glitch...instead of putting those resources into fixing their technical oversight.
If you complete a loyalty mission, have 1 squad point available, instead of automatically add the point to the loyalty power.
I dont use it to max powers.....exploiting a glitch to much, usually leads to crashes in games. All I did, was take that 1 point from jacob in his ammo power, so I could max to heavy barrier.

Hey, you or I don't know what's Bioware doing. They could be making expansions to raise the level cap, or starting characters at 30 in ME3, or whatever.
Again, it seems you want to go through too much trouble just to max out 2 or 3 abilities.
Anyways, I used the glitch myself to rob Thane of his stupid ammo. But since I heard about the possibly of import problems, I deleted the character, and started again with using the cheat, because I don't want to make "useless import characters".

Ok, people, for the record, if you DO NOT actually give Ish the Packages the mission is technically incomplete so it's not really a bug. I've played through a few times now and did that part repeatedly with different choices just to see what would happen. If for any reason you refuse to give him the info or convince him (either through charm or intimidation) that taking this info to use against Aria is a bad idea he goes away. The mission is left as incomplete cause you didn't actually give him anything. Consequently, if you do give him said packages it's marked as completed. Hence the name of the mission, Packages for Ish. No Packages for Ish, no complete mission. Simple...
You are mostly right, there is still the other option to give the packages to Aria's Batarian bouncer
