lol you just cant admit Bioware didn't solve the core problem behind putting points where they aren't wanted....

last time I check ME1, every point gained wasn't put wheever bioware decided but it was added to a reserve stock.

I used the glitch to just take points away. I dont have all skills maxed out or, made ungodly characters, so I doubt the system will have a problem with it.... if it DOES have a problem, i'll pass a game in casual, and there we go.

Hey, you or I don't know what's Bioware doing. They could be making expansions to raise the level cap, or starting characters at 30 in ME3, or whatever.

Again, it seems you want to go through too much trouble just to max out 2 or 3 abilities.

And what does raising level cap, or lv 30 starting point has to do with me being able to choose, if I want Jacob to have Incendiary ammo or not.

Even if they raise the level cap....that is one point that based on what makes ME1 doesn't make sense.

Bioware seems to waste too much resources instead of fixing a core problem that simple.

Simple, to use cheat A (aka gain 10 extra points) or use cheat B (remove points) you have to do the same thing, except press A instead of X, or vise versa. Coding wise, fixing one probably screws the other, and I doubt they want people to be unable to import.

Also, they fixed the ammo problem, so you now have control over them using it.

Does the patch fix the sound problems with samara's or grunt's mission?

Bioware needs to give a reason to why they fixed the glitch. It is obviously going to start a flame war. Or a war of some kind. So why not nip it now and give out a good reason instead of letting people argue? It isn't that hard. Just say why so you can have people understand. That's the point of helping out the fans, giving out patches and answering questions. So do it. Don't just say "LOCKDOWN" or w/e, because that would just show stupidity and that you don't truly know why you removed the exploit. I am sure that the reason was connected to ME3 in someway. But nonetheless. Some fans need an explanation from someone that works at Bioware. That being said maybe someone from Bioware should do just that.

If not then it just goes to show that you really don't give a damn about the users on the forums. The planet scanning was self explanatory. This obviously isn't. So lets see if Bioware will actually post something. If they want to stop the on coming flame war, then it will be indeed the smart thing to do.

Thank goodness the ammo bug was finally addressed. On my first playthrough, some of my companions were nearly unplayable because of it.

1. Just started my 6th playthrough to try out the new patch, and WOW. Thanks Bioware! Hopefully the next one is REMOVABLE HELMETS ON ALTERNATE ARMORS, yes?

2. Bioware doesn't owe anyone an explanation for removing an EXPLOIT/GLITCH. You aren't supposed to use exploits and glitches anyway. That's reason enough for it to be removed. They want you to play the game the way it was meant to be played. Anyone arguing against that is just butthurt. Sorry, but that's the truth.

They,(like all game companies) only care about money. Keeping the fans happy means more money for future projects. Releasing a patch like this is to make(most) fans happy so that they may continue buying their products in the near future. Other than that, they really don't give a damn.

Sorry to say this but that is not the truth. Many people just use the glitch to remove points of their allies so that they can put it in their loyalty power. That and if that was truely their reason. Then the infinite morality point glitch would be gone as well(seeing as it has been around far longer) so would the double hack glitch for more credits. As well as the infinite exp and credit glitch from ME1.

So yes a good explantion would be better.

Easy-

This glitch was going to affect imports. The Lorik Quinn glitch affected imports only if you used it to max BOTH Paragon and Renegade, so that is debatable. Money glitches are only positive, and only affected the current game, so that won't be fixed unless they deem it necessary.

And it doesn't matter if you used it to add OR remove points. You're only supposed to have so many. Once you use them, thats it. Thats why you can RE-SPEC.

The option is there, already in game, to alter points. So people complaining that they removed a glitch that allowed them to re-spec aren't thinking straight, when they have a perfectly legitimate way of doing the exact same thing.

Sorry, but you're going to have to work to re-spec classes. That simple.

Was hoping they would fix the conrad bug but YAY for everything!!! Now we need A DRA patch!

ther is no Conrad bug.
to the save editor excuse: there are a few things that were checked or unchecked that was most likely for any ME2 playthrough regardless of chioce in ME1.   The intimidating him check off was probably there so he can act like an idiot with the bartender and,
The Shepard shoved a gun in my face excuse:  again he never said that it was Shepard directly,  He was trying to intimidate the bartender (very poorly too) when Shepard walked up.  It caught Conrad by surprise for a second, then he jumped right back into his little act.
The last one i'd heard of was the you were a big jerk excuse:  Nearly all convo wheels will have a good or a bad selection for your Shepard to choose, I don't think it was intended for you to pick both options from Conrad but the top left for Renegade gets you   "You were a big jerk, and then you died!" And the bottom left for Paragon gives you  "You were a hero, and then you died."

For one the terminal to respec points only works on shepard. Not squad
members. So their goes that eh?

Also I figure it will effect
imports. If you read my post above I stated such. But do you really
think people are going to listen to that? 2 people who do not work at
Bioware? People need confirmation from the gamemakers themselves before
they shut up and quit their whining(to an extent).

What about the gerrus's loyalty mission! I hope they fixed that! Its the part of the mission where you help him take out sedonis, the background is all messed up in parts of that scene.

Let them whine. If they continue, they're just complaining over something absolutely trivial. Hell, I'd LOVE a helmet toggle for alternate armors, but if Bioware's never gonna implement it because they think its trivial, there's no point in continuing to complain about it. So now, I just bring it up every once and a while respectfully. Hoping, you know.

By the way, I noticed you called me a tool earlier but edited that out.

Thanks. I mean no ill will. I'm just giving the other side's opinion.

True, that background definitely makes me cringe every time I see it (or the lack of it!).

I just ALT-TAB for a few seconds when I know that scene is coming up now - I don't want it to ruin the loyalty mission.

Sorry about that, I lost my patience because of other things going on in the real world. I tend to take my frusteration out on the internet, Whether it is on other people on the internet (or irl..) or on video games lol.

Bioware should just change the Retrain Powers upgrade so it affects all squad members instead of just Shepard. Hell, include it in the Overlord DLC - maybe it's an upgrade you pick up during the quest?

As for the removable helmets, it'd be cool, but it seems like too much work to bother.

As glad as I am that the mineral scanner has gotten an overhaul, without the skill point trick I see no reason to make any more new characters. Which is really lame since I was in the middle of making a new adept when this happened. Oh well, at least I still have my soldier's stats all maxed out.
