help please! i seem to not be able to run DAO, i've loaded the expansion, have been mostly playing that. i downloaded the toolset. keep reinserting the disk but it will not load.

Are you using the expansion disc? As soon as you install the expansion, that disc becomes your play disc, even for the base game.

Thanks! now, how do i start any player created campaigns that i've downloaded? they are not showing up on "ohter campains"

Hi i have a simelar problem. my awakening disc dont even show under "computer" but it workes on others computer. i have the game instalt and all but cant play, please help.

Same thing as all the other dozens with incompatible optical drives, swap it around, with some other PC, or get the digital copies from the EA store and use those instead, since they don't perform any disk check, and the CD Keys from the hard copies are the way to unlock the downloads. 

Download EA download manager :
ea-download-manager.software.informer.com/ and install it. Launch the app, and there is an option to activate your retail copy of many EA games. Simply type in your hard copy serial number and choose your game.

Just followed your recommendation to get the digital copy - makes sense; no DVD no issue with DVD not loading, but unfortunately I still get the same message - could not find etc blah.

So I am going to BAN fricking EA soon. I've purchased Origins and Awakening on discs. I try to play Dragon Age (Awakening installed), and doesn't work because when I click play it says "Could not find the Dragon Age disk...." The ORIGINS disc is in the drive. I've read ppl saying that AWAKENING disc must be in. Ok, but I can't find it, so I used my awakening key on EA download manager and activated Awakening that way, click play, and SAME "Could not find the Dragon Age disk..." error occur.... I thought this was the fix EA says I can use instead of using the disk! If I dont get this solved soon I'm gonna blow up it's so frickin annoying... What on earth is the point in this crappy system, I bought the fricking game, installed it with my own key and can't play it without the disc... which I'm inevitably gonna lose sometime... Is there any reason not to just use Steam for everything in the future...

The way to deal with the EA store that I offered was a paraphrased description from Kepha.  Try her collection of FAQs about the DLC, here:
