Technical support is supposed to be TECHNICAL!

Wow couldn't agree more.  Until 1.03 is reverted or fixed I won't be buying anymore FUD from EA.  I haven't been able to play DA for more than 20 minutes without a CTD since the 1.03 patch came about for the past *2 months*.

EA can bite me.  All they want is your bling bling.

The Blightblood Sword is a Level 7 in Awakening also.....which makes it useless.

Oh, ouch. I figured they'd scale it up - like they scaled up Pearl of the Anointed, Bulwark of the True King, and Bregan's Bow.

Has anyone seen a blight wolf in this DLC? It's supposed to be a recruitable thrall but as far as I can tell there aren't any to be found anywhere which makes the achievement for maxing the loyalty of all thralls impossible.

I recruited at least two, one at the Palace and one at Fort Drakon.

Anyway, here's my little review for the PC version of this DLC: Darkspawn Chronicles was a fair bit better than I expected. If you like Dragon Age combat, I'd say it's worth a buy. If you don't like Dragon Age combat, avoid it at (almost) all costs. It clocked in at 2 hours almost on the nose for me. It might have taken less time if I had been playing on lower than nightmare and if Sten hadn't slaughtered me once. It's fairly difficult on nightmare largely because you have pre-built level 12 characters. Inability to customize your abilities means you have to build your strategies around what they give you - which was nice as a change of pace. You do, however, get your DLC items - which can give you a little boost if you have ones that fit well with the Darkspawn characters. If I hadn't read all the codex entries that might have shaved off some time too - but those are definitely worth reading. They're the only thing that might make it worth it to those that dislike Dragon Age combat. They create a nice little picture of Alistair's journey through Origins without you - some of his decisions are... surprising. He also made a few choices that aren't even available to The Warden. In terms of value, $5 for 2 hours of play is about dead on what Mass Effect 2 DLC should cost if we're to compare it with the main game. It's still twice the cost Dragon Age DLC should be, but... oh well. It's still more value friendly than Return to Ostagar at least =] The Blightblood sword bonus you get for Origins and Awakening is fairly neat. In Origins it's a Tier 7 one-hander with a permanent venom poison bonus on it. In Awakenings I presume it's bumped up to Tier 9. A solid 7.5 out of 10 overall I'd say. It was fun and I hope Bioware keeps trying "weird" DLC. Though I hope the next one does have voice overs and choice-based play. And, once again, I'll make my suggestion for the next DLC to be playing an excerpt from "The Stolen Throne" playing as Maric and Loghain! I'd snap it up in a second :o

Thank you. I'm still awaiting it on PS3 but am looking forward to playing it even more!

Really nice DLC! Way better then Return to Ostegar, even if I quite enjoyed that one too. Loved to bash Alister and Morigan:)) Will play it some more;)) just for the bash thing:)) The time spent playing on a full "clear" took about 2hours but I believe it can be done in less if you "storm" your way through it. Anyway really nice Bioware ! Keep up the nice work with new ideas.

Thanks Bioware,I never had so much laughs in my whole time playing games. This was crazy entrtaining, and I loved bashin heads in of my party members.I know it sound bit morbid, but it just shows how lousy NPC are without PC to lead them.My respect to Sten beacuse he kicks the knickers out DarkSpawn, and thnks again for fun party killin time

At least it was short enough that I only had to experience one CTD. ;)

Well, just finished and I have to say I enjoyed it thoroughly! I'm not usually into games with heavy fighting but I think the length was perfect - enough to get your blood pumping and into the darkspawn mindset (at least for me, lol.)

Some of the folks I had to fight I did ask silently for forgiveness but all except one were not my companions, I found that strange...

It was interesting to see what happened to some of the companions given the choices Alistair made, which I must say were very interesting.

For some reason, I found it extremely gratifying to go after most my former companions... A great sense of satisfaction at the end that I did not expect to feel.

Thanks for the ride - nicely done!

That's what I've been thinking since I read both novels... they should really release a DLC concerning Maric, Loghain and maybe Cailan too - they have the voice overs for the last 2. I know it's off-topic but it saddens me how casually they killed off Maric - "lost at sea" my eye... even the LOSTies got back :innocent:

Anyway, all in all a very fun DLC!

A question for those who have this before I d/l it............. How do you start it?, is it like a completely seperate "map" type thing, or incorperated into the game itself or what?. As in how do you go from being a grey warden to being a darkspawn?

Thx

its completely different and seperate from your adventure in origins. basically its the battle of denerium from the other side if you had died during the joining

This module is a ton of fun the first time through, but I found it to be ridiculously laggy (I'm on the 360). The delay was insane, especially towards the end. For example, my hurlock emissary would cast fireball, and there would be more than a 3 second delay after it hit the ground to the explosion. It really ruins the experience.

Don't know, I did just that and it unlocked for me. Of course I'm not on the PC.
