The people who work on the patches are not the same people who work on additional content. If people protest en masse by not purchasing DLC, all you are doing is sending the message that DLC isn't financially worthwhile for them to produce. Thats why I buy all DLC. Even if it's not something particularly exciting to me, I am showing support for the continued release of DLC for Dragon Age.

Marketing departments world wide are counting on people to think and act exactly as you do.

Arg, Alistair and Leli, really?

Jealousy attack. Over Leliana. Alistair is fine but Leliana is totally freakin awesome. They do have a lot in common though, so it's a natural match if the PC isn't around, especially with the people they are surrounded by.

Not to mention the awesome possibilities. Imagine Alistair at the Landsmeet, with Loghain on his knees and Alistair lifts his sword and then says; "And by the way, this is our future Queen - she is from Oralis you know..."

Of course they are. I'm not being naiive here, I'm being practical. Either I buy content despite the subpar patch, and eventually get the patch issue resolved and have more content to play with, or I don't buy the content in protest to the subar patch, and risk the future of Dragon Age DLC and support. That's just business, it has to be worthwhile for them to do anything.

It was the other one for me. Whats his name? I hate him that is why i tried to maul him with my shriek.

And the twit got away! >.<

Herron? He turned into a demon or did he just kind of fade away? Because lots of NPCs do that. Leske did that when he got to the exit of the jail when I was following him.

It was Herren for me.  And I would hypothesize that Herren's desire for escape was so great, it punched a hole in the Veil and allowed a demon to possess him.

EDIT @ Sarah
Oh yeah, most definitely.  Herren sprouts a rack and erects a big blue barrier that prevents you from killing Wade.  That sounds like I'm joking but I'm not.  I wish I got a screenshot.

It really was Herren who turned into a desire demon. I caught a glimpse of it and poof they went (even if my Ogre was close enough to kill them!).

Looks like I'll be working my butt off for the other two achievements...

A question for those who have this before I d/l it............. How do you start it?, is it like a completely seperate "map" type thing, or incorperated into the game itself or what?. As in how do you go from being a grey warden to being a darkspawn?

Thx

Thx

You start it by opening the "Other Campaigns" in the menu and it'll be listed as "The Darkspawn Chronicles." You get an intro of Denerim at war and a voiceless introduction of you taking the role of a Hurlock Vanguard.

The archdemon will "talk" to you from time to time! :D

Yeah, let's buy inferior products in blind loyalty. :pinched:

If good DLC sells and bad DLC doesn't, then it sends a necessary message.

Not saying Darkspawn Chronicles is bad DLC, btw. Just not my cup of tea, I don't like playing the bad guys.

I've got a screenshot ;-)
BTW I believed that Herren has been a desire demon all along! Don't you see how she tries to protect Wade by creating a barrier and then disappearing with him? Maybe she's like that other desire demon in the Circle Tower who enslaved a templar.

I'm not sure why they named it chronicle when in fact it's only the very last battle that is portrayed. Weird. I've only seen it played through yet so I can't judge the fun of it, but to me it all seemed like battles only. I'll not buy this myself, it just doesn't seem worth it, since only the Ogre and Shriek was the only two things that felt unique. Everything else could be had in the original final battle. For a roleplaying game addon, where's the actual roleplaying? It's just hack'n'slash.

lol.

I totally agree; the ogre's Grab ability on NPCs that you dislike made the DLC completely worth it.

I personally enjoyed tearing up Wynne with a shriek. :)

Considering what we read from the codex in the DLC. Apparently Loghain charged at Ostagar, there simply isn't any other way to explain the massive plot holes.

Wait, was that directly implied in the codex? This was what I pieced together. It doesn't seem to require Loghain dying that early.

My understanding was:
Our Warden dies. So Alistair is the party leader that moves against Loghain and the Blight.

Alistair does stuff (including recruiting werewolves and golems in one fashion or another).

Alistair spares Ser Cauthrien... and maybe even recruited her as a
companion.

Alistair becomes king at the landsmeet called by Teagan (since Alistair failed to revive Arl Eamon due to not being as Indiana Jonesey as out Warden and never finding the ashes). Loghain is killed.

Alistair never fights Arl Howe. Howe covers up his involvement with Loghain's plots as best he can (including releasing Riordan --- or Riordan escaped on his own).

I do not think Cauthrien would ever side with Alistair if he decided to kill Loghain, nor would Alistair side with Howe knowing he is Loghain's second in command.

'Tis most logical outcome.

If Loghain charged then there would be no reason at all for Alistair to claim the throne.

See, I'm doing it again, looking for sense, when there clearly is none. Gah!

There would be reason, seriously with civil war brewing and all that, also Eamon would have suggested he take the throne regardless!

Why would there be cvil war? Against whom? There was civil war because the bannorn mistrusted Loghain and his story. Loghain charged, failed, died, no mistrust, no one blames the Wardens, they unite under Anora's banner and ... it really makes no sense. Why would Riordan be imprisoned? Why would Howe not be punished?

Wasn't Eamon indisposed? I thought they were looking for the Ashes.

I have to say that for 5 bucks the ability to crush Allistair with an ogre is worth the money. Watching Morrigan get squished like a ketsup packet was probably one of the best things about DSC, knowing that she was not getting up after the battle was most excellent. I actually controlled the ogre as he was working the **** over, her screams of pain were just delightful, no greater music have i heard, well except this one Phish concert i went to, but that was years ago and drugs were probably involved.

To the gentle folks at Bioware i know you are going to have quite a bit of fan rage over the DSC, boycotts, whinning and such, i would just like to say thanks for having the courage to satisfy our urges to slaughter our most annoying characters whether they be Leliana,Sten, Oghren, Tegan, Wynne, Allistair or especially Morrigan, (sorry if i left anyone out).

I really enjoyed the DSC except for a few minor details, I would have preffered to have been allowed to pick my Vanguard class, either mage, warrior or rogue, also being able to select a few spells and tweak thier talents would have been nice. I guess you can not have everything and it WAS REALLY satisfying to squish a few heads (looks at Allistair and Morrigan) that was worth 5 bucks to me.

Thanks

Asai

I'm not sure if Loghain charged and died at Ostagar or not. But if he did, King Calian still could have died there anyways, (if Loghain did) thus requiring a new king. Alistair would then become king. Arl Howe could have gotten away with what he did to the Couslands (all witness are dead) to fight in the battle.
