Hi, I just shelled out some money to buy the DLC.

The power went out for a split second while it was downloading.

Now when I go back and try to download, it stops at 0% forever.

Posted Image

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? When I downloaded the other DLCs, it would typically continue from the last percentage that you were at. If anyone from Bioware can help, it would be much appreciated.

Who do I send an email to so that I can get technical support for this?

Nah, I get the same ****.

I think the servers crashed due to the heavy load or whatever.

It's only been out for an hour or so, let's wait and see.

Phew. Okay, glad to see I'm not the only one. Yeah I thought it was strange. I thought it was because I wasn't logged in and then I checked and realized that I was logged in.

To me it seems like a server overload or something like that. You know, a lot of people downloading it O_o

Anyway, I've downloaded mine just fine (Czech Republic in Central Europe here)

Downloaded at 12:00 EST with no problems. It did download a little on the slow side, which I say is probably due to the massive amount of people downloading. But it did finish and have been playing with out a hitch, knock on wood!

Ahh so thats what it could be? Too many people trying to get it at the moment? I was wondering why mine was stuck.

I just want to verify that you are all running the latest update, version 1.03, which should have resolved most of the issues which would cause you to get stuck downloading (and is also required to play Darkspawn Chronicles).

Otherwise, I am keeping an eye on this thread to see if the issue persists or becomes more widespread.

1.03 is the old patch that was released a while ago, in synch with Awakening, no?

My download is not starting.

It's been several hours so something probably gives.

Another user was able to get past the 0% issue by going to the launcher and clicking Configure -> Repair -> Clear download cache

See if that works for you.

Nada.

Strange since all other DLC installed and worked right away just fine...

I've added a firewall exception, cleared the cache, nothing. 0 %.

Blightblood downloaded and installed itself just fine mind you.

The actual DSC thing however, apparently hates us.

What happens if you're not running 1.03?  Does Chronicles automatically patch DAO to 1.03?

This version information should be on the product page.  It isn't.  You guys were way better about specifying the required versions with NWN products.  I know you're an MMO guy, Victor, but not all of us run the same version of the game all the time.  The previous DLC all run under multiple versions of DAO (except Feastday), so if Darkspawn Chroncles doesn't you really need to tell us that.

And if Darkspawn Chronicles doesn't automatically patch DAO to 1.03, then I'm sure we'll find a way to run it under 1.02.

If you aren't running 1.03, it automatically prompts you to update. Or at least that is what this FAQ says.

I have 1.03 as I already have Dragon Age Awakening.

I tried the cache thing and it's not working. The percentage is stuck at 0% even though I am logged in.

If someone could help me, it would be much appreciated. I am one of Bioware's biggest fans and would love to play the game that I have paid for.

I have to say - even though I had no problems downloading the DLC - I am very disappointed. Already played through it. Must have taken no longer than 2 hours.

All I can say is: Don't get too excited about this. The worst DLC for this game yet.

Worse than Ostagar? Can it be?

Still, I paid money for this and it's just not downloading.

Disappointing and I may actually start thinking about blacklisting all this mockery of a DLC scheme Bioware peddles.

Make complete games like in the good old days. If you want handouts, just ask for them.
