Those two have heads at unusual places and hitting them did not feel like a headshot damage. Any pointers?

I think you're supposed to hit Scions on the back hump for headshot damage. What do you mean harbringer has head at an unusual place? It's right on top of the shoulders, just like any other collector.

Really?  Lol, and this whole time I've been shooting that little protruding head off to the side!  I never really watched or compared the damage, guess that's what I get for assuming.

edit:  Just looked at the wiki's Scion page, it states "The head of the Scion is located on its right 'shoulder' and is a
confirmed weak spot."  If this isn't correct, it should be changed.

No, its actually hitting its head as far as I can tell. If I recall correctly, I always hurt them more if I shot them between the eyes, than if shooting elsewhere, ... though that might be the Widow-Effect tricking on me.

Sometimes, I had the impression that shooting scion's trophy skull thingie made a lot of damage...
Maybe you're right, maybe is just the Widow talking.
Shooting that weapon always feels right...

I just tested it with Mantis. Shooting the little head seems to do equal damage as shooting the large back hump. Both do more damage than shooting the non-hump part of the torso and arms, and shooting the legs does even less damage.

Hitting any opponent have higher dmg if the shot hits their head. Now Scions, I think do as well but the difference in dmg between body parts and their little messed up head, is negligeble, but still higher than hitting the rest of their bodies.

My last observation was that hitting the back hump seems to do the highest damage.

What about the other "boss monster"? Not harbringer, the flying ugly thing with the many heads in its mouth/belly. Where is there the headshot part supposed to be?

I always shoot it right above the eyes. But I haven't tested if that does extra damage to it...

...I dont think so. Is a boss. so duno. Would need somebody that knows the code or Bioware to say exactly if it has any "weak point"

Although there is a tip from bioware that says "some enemies dont have weak points, so pull the trigger and keep firing".... so lol

The Praetorian? That's a good question I'd like to know the answer to as well. Usually it's a SMG crapshoot when I'm up against one of those. Which is actually how I like it, but maybe I can attempt a slightly better aimed SMG crapshoot next time.

For some reason, it always appears I do more damage to a scion hitting the fleshy blue thing on it's back than I do when I aim for it's head.

Praetorian... that was the name! :D

So... Scions have their fleshy weak blue hump to hit. What´s the Praetorians headshotspot?

Always thought the most damage done to a Praetorian was shooting at the heads that look like a mouth.

Yeah I've seen better scion damage from their head clump at the (facing me) left side of the body. I really must try hitting them in the goolies. Shooting husks and abominations in the hips/legs seems to be their 'sweet spot'. Maybe it carries over when they get mushed together.

I shoot Praetorians in the mouth... But that's just based on the old videogame rule that any boss that opens its mouth should be shot there (preferably with grenades).

It's really very common...

Andross sucking stuff in? Smart Bomb down the hatch!
King Dodongo readying his fire breath? Bomb down the hatch!
Ridley chargin' his lazor? Missile down the hatch!
Sleeping Rancor? Thermal Detonator in its food to go down the hatch!
Door on Raven's tank is open? Grenade down the hatch!
Skag opened its mouth? Explosive rounds down the hatch!
Gaghiel is trying to eat your Eva? Battleship down the hatch!

And so on and so forth.

And when no mouth is available, go for the optics, Chiktikka!
