to add a question that sorta goes along with this, i have a brand spankin new macbook pro and really wanna play it on here and not on microsoft's ****ty unreliable 360's-so what is my best option for getting it to run on my mac? is there a software like crossover that will work with Dragon Age or should I try to dual-boot with windows xp? (which would be a pain in the ass project)

Personally, I think that having the game look good is a huge part of the experience from a cinematic standpoint. Those epic cutscenes won't be so hot if you're lagging throughout them.
Get the 360 version for the better experience, get the PC if you care more about the available depth rather than the quality of the experience. Smooth gameplay is way more important than playing a couple of decent mods or zooming out the camera. (which btw if you can barely run the game, zooming out will just kill your framerate even more)

I'm getting the 360 version because my girlfriend will most likely be playing it on my PC....
So eventually I will have the best of both worlds.

I'm getting the PC Version, for several reasons.
-Difficulty: Bioware has confirmed that the console versions are somewhat easier, and can't generate as many enemies at once, instead breaking them up into smaller waves or fewer, tougher enemies, as well as friendly fire only being in hard mode.
-Tactical View: Big fan of BG.
-User made content: I love creating and playing others user made content. Every single game I've owned has been prolonged thanks to it, Oblivion alone spending around 2k hours of my time. If you go that extra mile, your gaming experience is enhanced a lot.
-Graphics: I built my rig with my hands and passion, it's not failed me once.
