Whether this may help or is relevant or not - I, in most cases, DUPLICATE a creature ( right click / duplicate ) before adding to area. The one diff this makes is when double clicked the creature is writable parameter wise.

That is exacttly what I did, duplicate and then save it into my own module from the single player, made no differnce.

Back again, with a quick question -

I have my footage, and I need to run the Fraps AVI through Windows Movie Maker (add music, titles and such) and then I plan to head over to Youtube. Is it okay to open a thread with the link here in the Cutscene section, is there a more appropriate place?

Good question. I was going to open a 'cutscenes demonstrations' thread on this forum. Something for people to have links to their samples in, perhaps we can get a sticky of it for sample viewing for those that want to post their work. I will start a thread for this.

That sounds like it'll work. Soon as I'm ready with a link, I'll check it out ...

OR:

Toolset - Cutscene WIP

and

Toolset - Cutscene Finished

In the main Toolset Section OR as stickies / sub forums under here?

Here we go again ...

I can't get my new cutscene/machinima to run in game.

I'm certain I've done everything I'm supposed to: the area where the scene takes place looked fine in game when I tested it, therefore the module is there and accessible; I exported the finished cutscene without any problems; I used the same autologin method that worked for The Rescue, and yes I did amend it with the name of the new cutscene.

First attempt, using 'single player' (minus the ') which worked before, the game just loaded the area, not the cutscene.

Second attempt, I switched the autologin to the module's name - game said that module could not be found, only I could go to Other Campaigns and load the area without any problems. Just no sign of the cutscene.

I could use fraps to record it direct from the toolset, but there are 2 major issues there. 1), the scene takes place at night, and the night sky does not show up in the cutscene editor. 2) no sound - I need to run the cutscene from the game to see (well, hear) if the music and sound are working okay.

Can't think of what else to try right now - suggestions would be welcomed.

*EDIT*

Never mind, bit the bullet and added a trigger to the area - I'm shocked, but it actually worked. Just some sound issues to figure out now ...
