When it says "make it through the game without dying", does that take into consideration reloads? I just wonder if the achievement is blocked the moment a character dies, or if it will just check how many injuries you've had at the end of the game.

It's your main character only and it doesn't take into account reloads. If you're careless and get injuries doing the Jammers quest in the Carta Hideout these injuries don't count either.

Also in the Brecillian Forest there is a trap which "kills you" near the grand oak (looks like a campsite) , making you gain an injury so do try to avoid.

injuries have nothing to do with the achievement, if you died you died and the game will register that, reloading to a time before dying and redoing that part again works however...

another tip about dying is Ser Cauthrien.. make sure you have a save before entering that room and if you can't manage to win the fight then reload and surrender by talking to do the jailbreak. If you go through to start the fight and go to jail via losing it WILL count as a death even though you aren't technically killed, only injured.

Baloney, that one does not necessarily kill you.

Um my only injury was this on my mage run through and I only fell that one time, and did not get the acheivement. Better to avoid though if you are after the acheivement, since the loot I think only gets you 2 gold total.

You only get killed, if you rest in the camp.

The camp has a little more to it than that..

The character selected to *remain alive* is the one with the highest willpower.

Oooh I figured only mages could resist.   Good to know.

I got the achievement on my 2h warrior run, and only Wynne survived that encounter.  So, no, I don't think it counts.

The specific achievement is to complete the game/get so far without *falling in battle* - injuries gathered from other sources (Jammer's Stash, Shade Camp) do not count. I have heard conflicting reports on whether falling to Ser Cauthrien counts, but best to not risk it and just surrender. I think I managed this on my third-run through. My friend did it first time, grrr.

I'm in my 3rd playthrough with Dalish Archer (Ranger/Bard) on nightmare difficulty. Couldn't beat Uldred without him killing my main character with crushing prison but it's still the only time my Warden has fallen in battle and she's lvl 19 by now....guess I'll try to get that achievement on less than nightmare difficulty.

That doesn't count against any of the "stay alive" acheivements.  You can get them despite "going to sleep"  at that wraith encounter.

On the other hand, Getting killed by Ser Cauthren DOES count, so don't fight her unless you fully  plan on winning

Just make sure your main character has "at least" 26 willpower to survive the "sleep"...and fight the monster.   Thats all....no need to avoid the fight.

Couldn't you put this encounter off until you've killed everything in the area and just go back solo to finish it?

My last playthrough was as a warrior and I left Wynne back at camp because she was the only one with higher willpower, and thus my tank was the one to fight the monster.

Weird. Does anyone know if the main character can keep the rest of the party from going to sleep here? I had one where it was DW rogue, Zevran, Wynne, and Sten- the shade outright attacked us instead of the usual nap time. No one fell asleep.
