After testing the weapon on a gel target, the doctor inspects the damage.

"The Carnifex is a military weapon, but the plasma cutter has the edge here. It has a longer range, is far more accurate, and it was designed to cut through solid rock. The weapon is better in practically every aspect, despite not being designed for military use. There's no question about the cutter's superiority, but I think we need to move on to some better gear and weapons before I choose a side."

In defensive armor, Isaac is armed with...
THE RIG SUIT!

The Resource Integration Gear (or RIG) is an exosuit that completely covers the wearer's body. There are several variations to the engineering RIG suit, each one of which is suited for various working environments. The working environment, the wearer's certification, and the degree of the working environment's hazardousness will determine which variation is the most appropriate. Isaac's most powerful RIG is the military suit, which is more heavily armored and durable. The RIG has an air filtration unit and COMLink system mounted on the mouth of the helmet. The boots and legging of the RIG include gravity boots and impact dampeners.

VERSUS

KINETIC BARRIER SHIELDING TECHNOLOGY

Posted Image

Kinetic barriers, colloquially called "shields", provide protection against most mass accelerator weapons. Kinetic barriers are repulsive mass effect fields projected from tiny emitters. These shields safely deflect small objects traveling at rapid velocities. This affords protection from bullets and other dangerous projectiles, but still allows the user to sit down without knocking away their chair. The shielding afforded by kinetic barriers does not protect against extremes of temperature, toxins, or radiation.

"This looks like it could be a tough choice. Isaac has a ton of physical armor plating, but Tali has shielding technology. So most projectile weapons will be useless against her."

Posted Image

"What we have to remember here is that Isaac barely uses conventional weapons. Shielding will protect against projectiles, but not against something heat based, which is what most of Isaac's weaponry is. But at the same time, Isaac's suit is designed to protect him against enviornmental hazards, and the military suit can only do some much without shields.

Really?  So I guess we're not counting anything from ME1 in regards to armor?    Bah.

Played Deadspace, Played Mass Effect 3.

Issac takes down a giant Necromorph demon octopus squid monster, and his weapons are capable of cutting through limbs like a laser through butter.

At best, Tali takes down a heavy mech. With support and abilities.

I'm pretty sure the 3 is a typo on his part, the bigger concern should be more focued on the lack of saying he played BOTH Mass Effect games to make a informed judgement call.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, even if they don't use all the information available to make it.
Just look at me, anything I say is automaticaly disqualified :wizard:  [not based on information, but based on who I am, I mean]

So, Tali had more shields that you did in ME1, can solo Saren, hack a geth armature and lock down the weapons of an enitre platoon

I would disqualify every of your arguments when you stated that it bases upon playing Mass Effect 3. :P
