He's only compared equipment so far, but I'm sure he'll get to skills later.

Next up - Strelok vs Samara!

Samara

Unfortunately for Samara, Strelok tends to be immune to psychic forces.

I just finished another playthough of dead space. Such a good game. I will have to side with Isaac on this one. Isaacs tactics will work in both universes while Talis tactics only really work in the ME universe. Think how easy it would be to take the head off a heavy mech with a plasma or line cutter.

Isaac's plasma cutter can saw a man's limb off in one shot, kinetic barriers aren't going to stand up to more than one or two shots from that before they go the way of the dodo. Tali's tech abilities (i.e. overload, sabotage) aren't cannon, and are never mentioned or referenced outside of gameplay (which contradicts codex/cutscenes regularly). Even if they are, we can't just assume that she can magically hack completely unrelated and unknown systems with no reference points, ones that we don't even know are networked (something that isn't networked cannot be hacked, period).

Carnifex vs Engineering armor is a totally unquantifiable matchup since we have no idea of the actual ballistic capabilities of the Carnifex, nor do we know anything about how resilient engineering armor is. We only ever see it take damage from claws and the like. Even if we had seen it take hits from regular bullets, MEverse bullets are really freakin' wierd in that they are super low mass and high speed. I can't imagine this actually being good in real life as a weapon, but...

Physically speaking, a small object going really, really fast has better armor penetration than a larger one going slower.
