Indeed. I really, REALLY missed squad banter in ME2. They only talked to each other, like, twice. Sadface.

This is a wonderful solution to the lack of squad banter in ME2. I don't mind talking to the squad members, but I really missed it when the squad members spoke to eachother. Some of the funniest lines in ME1 were in the elevator.

Whoa, I read the op and was floored! Hey, Bioware! Hire this guy or at the very least use some if not ALL his ideas! This will REALLY help immersion and characterization.

Don't forget those conference room scenes. Those always gave me a feeling of a 'crew' and not six separate squadmates.

I can't believe how amazing these suggestions are. I truly hope that Bioware implements these ideas, they are really right on the money.

For OP, nice images I image photoshop or a similar program was used? Anyway do you mean during the decontamination cycle you go to the console and select Zeed’s side or Samara’s side? I don’t like having to use a console in order to have them speak in there. To me that makes it feel like 2 with playing find the dialogue activator. I’d rather they just talk to each other and occasionally to Shepard and they talk the entire time so its not 5 seconds of speech then silence. They can talk over several subjects like about the mission you’re going on, or if your not on a mission to that hub they can just talk about what they hope they’ll find like Tali finding good upgrades and Kasumi finding unique artwork. Maybe Garrus or Joker uses the comm to bug Shep about when he thinks he’ll give them shore leave and Shep says when hell freezes over or something.

I do like the idea of using the elevator to access the forgotten cargo hold and use DA banter. I’d like to have one more step there physically choosing which vessel will go down will it be a drop in with the shuttle or will the player want to use either the new improved mako or the new improved hovercraft for the mission. Then they can do the arrival onto world via ship of choice and go from there.

The on shuttle conversations with you using the wheel would be good BW wouldn’t have to go all out like normal wheel but put friendly, joke, unfriendly so players can pick how they’d like to interject into the conversation or how they want to respond to questions being asked to them. I like the idea of the showing your shuttle of choice approaching the planet and landing.

I really like the idea of your now squad members being on the hub world in different locations maybe in addition to when you pull up the map or (hopefully) they bring back ME1 round radar you see colored dots for each crewmen down there like purple for Tali, blue for Garrus, red for Samara, ect this way you can easily find them if you’re close. I really like the idea of them being able to be talked to and or switched out right there.

I’d hope if BW did this they could be doing things or talking to npcs but sense they love to make 98% of npcs just stand there I suppose they’ll also make our unused team mates stand there as well. But love the idea would like to see this implemented and have characters but in different locations like if we where on alarger version of the Citidel Samara would be in front of the large white tower for the Council elevator, Tali would be in that hanar’s emporium, and Garrus would be on the bridge near the mini mass relay, ect. Later as you moved about say you go down to the wards the crew fallow you Samara and Garrus are near Csec, and Tali is shopping, ect this way if I want to talk to them more or switch then they’re close by now for a smaller world like Tuchanka they’d only be in camp not beyond so in that case I’d have to go back to the camp to get them.

I’m not liking the bar I mean I like the bar itself but showing what I missed in persuasion sucks and for some players may goad them till no end. I’d really like 3 to be set up around staying within conversation and situation parameters to give players their morality rewards instead of forcing players to be all para or all ren to get morality rewards inorder to use uber para blue or uber ren red options. I’d also like the option to hide the bars so I don’t know how para or ren Iam sometimes that dictates weather I say a para or ren choice when what I really wanted to say was neutral.

good idea

It seems threads aren't popular when everyone is in agreement.

Therefore:
-ME1 sucks, ME2 sucks, DAO sucks, DAA sucks, Garrus sucks, Tali sucks, Liara sucks, Kaidan sucks, Ashley sucks, Wrex sucks, Zaeed sucks, Legion sucks, Samara sucks, Morinth sucks, Mordin sucks, Miranda sucks, Grunt sucks, Jacob sucks, Thane sucks, Jack sucks and Kasumi sucks.

-Mass Effect is a Gears of War dating simulation trying to be like Final Fantasy meets Pokemon, and would fail as a movie.

Discuss.

LOL he has a point though, for some reason threads seem to die out when everyone and their grandma agrees with the OP, and seem to thrive into the 100's of pages if there is controversy.

This has the paradoxical effect of keeping the complaints and bad ideas or "argument" threads up in the dev's face, while the amazing ideas we would all want to see tend to shift into obscurity because at a certain point, you can't really sustain a thread by everyone just saying "I agree" lol.

I just hope Ecael is now working for Bioware. No joke.

Here's a thought:

The cargo hold is big.
(This is branching off of your suggestions in the OP)

Why not have a firing range or something. Occasionally if you go down there while not doing a mission/assignment, a random sqaudmate(s) will be firing their guns at little Collector/Reaper targets. And you can join them too (at no cost to ammunition).

Maybe add an achievement or something if you can shoot down all the targets faster than your squadmate can or something. A little friendly competition between your squadmates to help keep your mind off of the impending Reaper invasion.

EDIT: As a side note, as I do not have any idea if the surviving members of your squad are going to stay with you on the Normandy into ME3, I would like the opportunity for them to have a cameo appearance at some point. All of them that had survived the suicide mission. It is the last Mass Effect game (at least, with this story arc) so I think the cameo thing should be a given. ^_^

EDIT 2: As well, something like a random dinner/lunch with the crew would be awesome. Maybe a squaddie or two could join in. There'd be an option when talking to the Mess Sergeant such as: "Got anything cooking?", and it would either pop to a very short (10-15 seconds) cutscene to you and some crew members/squad mates having a short conversation; or it would go you sitting in a chair with your crew, and you have the option to manually talk to each person that's there, and then [PRESS X TO GET UP].
Doesn't have to be many. Lets say a total of 4 people + you, a random assortment of various crew members and/or squadmates.

I love Option 4: Hub Worlds - *NEW* I think it would make the most sense for party banter (*except for the two that are in your group talking every once in awhile to each other like DA*) and choosing party members. You can't expect your whole party to stay on board when you go off doing stuff.
