Like I said in the original post, you get the choice between loading it quickly or listening to them while loading.RyuGuitarFreak wrote...
I don't know, I like the way ME2 is. I get to chose if I want to hear them or not. I don't want some new looooong loading screens. If they optimize it in a way that there is no timing between when a character starts to talk and when it finishes and if this talk is short, well then I would give it a chance. Otherwise, no.

Hi, Ecael here for Mass Effect's dialogue.
Ecael delivers again.
I don't care how they do it, as long as they do it. I really missed the elevator talks, and when I started playing DA:O, I realized the amount of squad banter was reeeally tiny in ME2.
I like this idea, it gives you the option to choose the quick or the slower route.

Nothing to discuss, it's true, period.
On the squad banter, I'd say it would be precious if we could run sometimes into squadmates in unusual places. namely other squadmates quarters, engagede in some activities. Kind of like Jack vs. Miranda and Tali vs. Legion fights.
Like you enter the lab and see Jacob there. Mordin has asked him to help with some test, and they are having a conversation, and you can listen to it for a bit an then join.
Also the elevator-like banter to fell really casual must not be able to be predictable and run out after just a few occasions. Therefore it must be triggered in places other then the Normandy, and it puts limits on squadmates number. So here we come again: few squadmates => new squadmates!

I'd definitely like to see cutscenes like that. The whole squad didn't even get together to talk until the final mission.Zulu_DFA wrote...

Besides I'd make Legion my XO, because he's my awesome robot sidekick... Who I'd rather take with me for his unintentional humor. Well that idea is out the window.

Like Paragon suggested, they could just put the dialogue triggers on the squadmates themselves instead of an extra button on the airlock.Curunen wrote...
I agree that there needs to be more squad dialogue, and this does provide a good solution. The only concern I have with your suggestions is that they seem a little more complicated than they could be. Mind you I don't have a better idea.
I was trying to go for the solution that would make everyone happy with the result.

Also, do want.
I hate those orange loading screens of death. If you aren't on PC they take forever.

If they were to do something like that I would hope they would bring back the kind of banter they had in ME1 where I could select a squad mate during a mission and they would talk. (I'd also like it if I didn't have to leave world every time I go back to the Normandy >.>'')

The dialogue trigger boxes on hub worlds were meant to replace the trigger that you mentioned (selecting squadmates on hub worlds). However, there is very little elevator-type dialogue that goes on for more than one line.Festi wrote...

I wasn't a fan of the trigger boxes honestly. I felt like I had to go looking for them and I know there are ones I haven't found. I understand their logic, they thought an area would trigger inspire some one to say something. It makes sense but despite, for instance, Ashley's insitance on the view when we were in a hallway being a little out of place I found it far more convinient. I miss the elevators not for the long load time, which I don't mind but I'm pretty patient, but for that conversation and the radio anouncements. Having the anouncements as clickable news stands was nice, but if you don't have the patients to stand around and listen to them it isn't so great, not that they really serve a purpose in this game like in ME1 where missions could be started by news. Anyway, that's why I like the idea you have of having some form of conversation on the way to the shuttle or something. I haven't played Dragon Age but it seems like a nice idea. I would even be for a small scene in the shuttle with banter... though that could just end up being like an elevator which people seem to hate. In anycase, more interaction is definitly needed, everyone is far to silent.

It seems threads aren't popular when everyone is in agreement.Good idea
Therefore:
-ME1 sucks, ME2 sucks, DAO sucks, DAA sucks, Garrus sucks, Tali sucks, Liara sucks, Kaidan sucks, Ashley sucks, Wrex sucks, Zaeed sucks, Legion sucks, Samara sucks, Morinth sucks, Mordin sucks, Miranda sucks, Grunt sucks, Jacob sucks, Thane sucks, Jack sucks and Kasumi sucks.

1. You can only use them once for each squadmate
2. Specific squadmates will chip in IF you have them there that instant
A lot of potential dialogue is lost if you're required to know which squadmates you need to bring.

Samara has one on the Reaper IFF mission when you bring her along with Garrus/Tali/Jacob.
