Everyone:

Just what the title line indicates.

I noticed that I was no longer able to access *any* of the save files for my first DAO character after I had imported her into DAA. The only "resume" options I had when I fired up DAO involved DAA save files, despite having three DAO save files on my PS3's harddrive.

I've read that once imported into DAA, your DAO character is no longer playable in DAO. Still, I thought that applied only to the actual save file you imported into DAA. I guess that's not the case, after all? A DAO character is truly gone from DAO after importation into DAA?

Hmm. Have you downloaded the new DAO patch — 1.02 — for DAO? I'm curious if that patch negates all pre-patch saves in DAO, since the "old" data they contain might not be compatible with the new, "freeze-free" data in the 29MB patch.

Yes i have the new patch and although i started a new game when the patch came out i wanted to see the exclusive weapon on a charater that was already made and had been through awakening and was able to load it up without any issues. Is your data corrupted in anyway on your ps3?

Not that I'm aware of. Peculiar, though, why DAO would bring up only DAA save files in the "resume" menu.

Well, at least I completed both DAO and DAA with the character. So it's not like I lost one that was half- or three-quarters "built," so to speak. If that had been the case, then I'd be a bit more uptight about the whole thing.

Did you try switching characters? On import, it looks like a clone of your DAO character is created with save game slots only for DAA, but your original DAO character savegames are left intact. This means you'll see two of your character on the select screen - one will be Origins, the other Awakening.

**LOL** You hit the nail on the head! That's exactly what the "problem" turned out to be — me not realizing the game was still set to the DAA save files. I switched back and, voila!, there were my DAO save files.

Glad it worked! Bioware didn't do the best job explaining this process - I had a few minutes of dread myself until I discovered that setup.
