I'm having some problems with the quests on feros. At first i totally skipped them because I didn't know they were there. At the part where you have the choice to either gas the colonists and save them or kill them I decided to just kill them all; but I ran into a big problem. I searched every area and I still could not find 2 people. So I figured it was because I Skipped a few quests involving the water, food, and geth. So i went all the way back to a older save to try again >.<.  I am playing a renegade and it seems like there is no way to complete the quests with out getting paragon points. I checked a few guides to see what I am doing wrong, the guides says you can complete quest with out getting paragon points but its not working for me. help plz? Im on pc version.

If you help save the colony you will get paragon points, because you are doing a "good deed"

If you want to play renegade, you basically ignore their requests. You dont have to comlpetre every quest your given you know.

Just wanted to mention that if you do gain Paragon points, it doesn't subtract from your Renegade points at all (and vice versa). I never really noticed what kind of morality points you get from those quests, and just did them for the XP anyway.

so there is no way to be totally good or evil and you have to be mixed every time? What about the colonists quest though? Because I searched every where, for some reason two of them were not there and I couldn't get past that level with out getting paragon for saving them.

um... do you punch any of the people? the gas thingy and punching let them live, so it might be the problem there.

You have to do their quest like the water, food and batteries before you go to the Geth Base beyond the skyway where the Geth drop ship is. To do those quest you have to talk to thier leader to see what else you can do for the colonist and then you talk to them to start the quest. You cannot do it after wards. Renegade or not you can still do their quest. It still give you Paragon points but it dose not take away your renegade points. I mostly do it for extra points. After you deal with the Geth in their base, you get the opportunity to save or kill the colonists. You do what you like, regardless you do those quest for the colonist or not. But you have to do it before Geth at thier base.

I'm not sure if it's possible to have zero of either Paragon or Renegade. You would probably have to know the game inside and out to successfully avoid any and all of one of the moralities. If you don't care about anything else, like getting XP from missions and all that, it may be possible.

As to where the Colonists are - I'm pretty sure there are only the 3 main spots to find them: At the Mako parking bay when you first get back to Zhu's Hope (after doing the Exo-Geni stuff), in the stairwell, and in the main encampment. The encampment has 3 areas as well: when you first enter from the stairwell, in the rear section, and the opposite site. So, technically, there are a total of 5 areas with Colonists to save/kill. I think there were just 2 in the stairwell, so maybe you missed them?

Perhaps the game simply won't let you kill all the Colonists? But that doesn't sound right, since the head count is there to begin with. A couple of things I would suggest are making sure you don't equip the anti-Thorian gas, and maybe set the level up to Hardcore or Insane. Also, make sure your save is from before you first enter the main Mako parking spot there. Otherwise, I don't know what to tell ya. Sounds like a possible glitch.
