Has anyone else tried to play Awakenings since patch? I put my disc in it gets to maim menu, i press start, and it just stays on the checking saved data screen. My Origins worked great after i got the patch, though. Before the patch, I could play Awakenings and Origins with about an equal amount of freezing. Now Origins works great and Awakenigs doesnt work at all. Can anyone help?
Awakenings wont work now...

I am aware the patch is for Origins. My problem is that before i could play both Origins and Awakenings. Both had frequent freeze-ups, but i could play both at least a little while before it froze. After downloading the patch, Origins works fine, now awakenings refuses to load. Gets to "checking saved data" screen and goes no further.

I have method to play both origin and awakening
1 if you would like to play awakening you must patch 1.01a before playing and it not freeze
2 after you patch 1.01a this patch is in your game data 29mb and when you play dragon age origin
it freeze. How to solve the problem you must delete patch 1.01a before play dragon age origin it
fine.
conclusion if you want to play awakening patch 1.01a before play it and after that if you want to
play dragon age origin you must delete patch 1.01a before play it.

I have the same issue, and going through the process of repeated patching is a quick fix, though one that would work.
When will a patch solve the issue so both games can be played without incident?

Retail Awakening Disc: Deleting both DAO and DAA game data utility, disable the network connection on the PS3 and then reinstall both the Origins and Awakening patch for origins, then get back online and get the latest 1.02 patch for Origins and 1.01 patch for awakening (You need to install DLC back again if you have them in origins). I have done it myself now, it works for me at this moment. Now, i can play both origins and awakening without any problem.

Hi, Im from argentina and Im new in this forum but I expect to find the answers to my problem. Yesterday I bought DAA for ps3 and when I inserted the disc and I tried to install it, afiter updating dragon age to version 1.01 and 1.02 I installed the patch that s on DAA disc and I tried to install DAA but it appears a message that says, DAO game data is required for DAA. Please eject the disc and insert DAO. The problem is that I got installed DAO!! How can I install DAA!!!???

When you installed DAA patch you had DAO installed with update 1.01 or 1.02?

Retail version works FINE.....
The golden rule is that you need to know which patch to install first!
Some people never experience any issues, but for those people if you have DAO patch 1.02 install and having "Check Save Data" issue on the awakening, please do as following:
1) Deleting both DAO and DAA game data utility.
2) Disable the network connection on the PS3.
3) Reinstall the Origins (Origins Disc) and install an Awakening patch for Origins (Awakening Disc). (Very important step, the key is to have this awakening patch for origins before 1.02 Origin patches)
4) Get back online and get the latest 1.02 patch for Origins. (This patch is for fixing the freezing issue with PS3 3.30 firmware update)
5) Get the 1.01 patch for awakening. (This awakening patch doesn't conflict with 1.02 patch for Origins, and you need this patch to play awakening)
6) You need to install all the Origins DLC back again if you have them for origins. (Because you delete the game utility data in step (1) which contains your DLC information)
NOTES: Don't touch anything on your saved game data.
I have done it myself now, it works for me. I can play both origins and awakening without any problem...... It WORKS PERFECTLY. /images/forum/emoticons/tongue.png One of my friendz confirmed it works on his as well.
Please let me know if it works for you.....

I finished and it didnt solve my problem... the only thing I didnt do is istall the origings DLC, but I dont need it to play awakening doesnt it?. after i installed the patch 1.01 for awakenig istallation should start but it appears a message in the screen that says: DAO game data is required for DAA. Please eject the disc and insert DAO... I dont know what else to do, it would be as if I didnt have DAO installed.

The problem is I bought the DAA in usa and the DAO in the uk and theay are not compatible. Anyone know if I can fix this??

You can't. You have to either buy Awakening from UK PSN for your UK copy of DAO, or buy a USA copy of DAO for your USA Awakening.
