Hello fellow gamers, and hopefully a developer

Lets get straight to the point. How does EA expect people to continue buying
their games, specially the Dragon age franchise when they don’t even give two horse
droppings (to put it nicely) about the quality in their games, not to mention
their fans? Dragonage is a fine looking game, but it is clearly a game more compelling
to advanced gamers that enjoy the many aspects and playthrough's of the game,
and optimalising their characters. Which DOES NOT leave room for all the flaws
for it to be enjoyed as it was meant too

They seem only interested in making money and launching DLC's that's such a
pain in the ol' tailpipe to install that I didn’t even bother, instead of
bringing us a much needed patch ( and do it right this time! ) I mean a fester
day gift dlc before a crucial patch? Are you mocking us? Do you think we are
blind over the robbery you are commencing?

I understand how a business works; money is everything I get that. But not only
does this ****** fans worldwide off it's hardly profitable to alienate your fans,
every person I’ve talked to that bought Dragon age will NOT be purchasing the sequel.....Because
let's face it, who wants to pay with their hard earned money for a buggy game
with nonchalant developers? I feel like I just got robbed and petted the burglar
on the back, and I think im not the only
one

If you don’t care about your fans EA and Bioware, we will eventually stop
caring about your games...and your greed will be your downfall, that's all

Greetings from concerned and pissed of gamer

What, exactly, do you think this post will accomplish? You use alot of harsh attack words like 'Robbery' in your post... do you think it will change anything?

I understand being upset, I am very annoyed with the crashes that 1.03 brought to me (and haven't played the game in quite a while because of them) but posts like this don't help anyone.

Stating opinion as fact is considered a form of trolling no?

Im tired of suggarcoating , i work hard for my money, maybe you have more to spare but i dont, so i expect a product to work when i pay for it...And if you call that trolling then you sir, are oversensetive, neither have i told anything that isnt true...I use such words becuse there is no other words for it, 1.03 is greatly flawed, and they still just focus on making money off DLC's...i guess i could have put it more lightly yes, but it seems like the developers doesnt care, and that's just so wrong, not to mention alienating the fans as previosly stated

And fwy : do you really feel like pampering such a serious issue? that's what pushover's do

BioWare was gobbled up by EA and is merely an in-house game development studio these days.  Don't expect the less than dedicated roleplayers of EA to OK the allocation of assets with the same professionalism of the BioWare of old.  We all appreciate the independent BioWare that gave us NWN1 + 2 expansions + patches through 1.69, but given the track record of EA, I have grave doubts that BioWare still exercises enough autonomy to produce that level of excellence.  They're under the thumb of EA now and EA's reputation amongst dedicated cRPG players speaks for itself.  Posted Image

I think hes being very fair to EA, they have for a very long time made tones of money by mopping up sub standard games and throwing them onto the shelves for £40 (or apropriate $$$) and saying "good luck with that, if its broke..... have fun" the FIFA games are the best example of this i think, they relsease them year after year with updated names and a few changes to controls, and if we're lucky slighlty better graphics. Fortunatly im not into football/soccer games but i know lots of people who are who get very anoyed when they bring their game back to find its practically the same as the last one. Bioware is now a part of EA like it or not, so all we can do is hope they keep the standard of their games on release date up to the high level which we all love and then do the best with whatever money EA throws at them for dlc/patches and the like. Chances are though unfortunatly 10 years from now it will have dropped and games like dragon age will be dumbed down to appeal to as wider fan base as possible, like most EA games. This could be alright of course but they wont be RPG's anymore. Just to say aswell im not trolling, i wish EA would start giving a (insert word here) and change to quality over quantity, in the long run itl be far more profitable. Games have surpased films and music as the most lucerative entertainment industry in the world now and unfortunatly RPGS like DAO dont ppeal to the masses , but heres to hope :(

Bump

I too am having problems on my brand spanking new AlienWare Aurora computer, i got a new comp so i could play the newer games like drogon age and enjoy them.

but i cannot because the cut sceens slow down to a snail trying to move a thousand feet or more.

i have not played in over a week and have learned a valuable lesson, do not buy any game no matter the developers past history!

any game i want now, must be watched on its own forums for at least 6 months to see if any game breaking bugs show up, so that i know to leave it alone untill the forums say that the bugs have been fixed.

trust that had been earned because of previous games no longer applies, each new game must stand on its own merrits before i buy it from now on.

Exactly, How do they plan on keeping up sales with flawed games?....Gamers are by my dedution smart people, because yeah, you need to think alot to play, and eventually will be repulsed by the lack of quality EA provides

What a redundant thread. Bioware (standalone version, LOL) developed BG2 which is a bugfest for this day and at the same time one of the best games ever made. You guys completely misses the point. Better stop trolling and go do something constructive or at least funny with your free time.
