New player's remark here: Is it just me, or is that first part (before the Eden Prime video) not even in the real game? Never saw those convo's when I played Mass Effect. Joker's voice sounded different too if I recall correctly. All pre-launch/trailer footage?

This is E3 footage about a year before Mass Effect 1's release. A lot of things changed afterwards.
