It seems that the Ogre's keeper achievement is not unlocking for myself and for quite a few other people.  I've read threads by people on xbox360achievements.org and Trueachievements both saying the same thing.  Has anyone here got any idea how to get this blasted thing to unlock?  I've done the final battle with the original Ogre six times now!

I had no problem on xbox with this achievement. Are you sure you're picking up the right ogre at the gate part when you're separated? there are 2 there. First playthrough the achieve popped at the end no problem for me.

Yup I've tried it with both ogres, both maxed at 100% approval. Not just me with this issue either.

Same glitch is happening for me too. This is stupid, second time I got glitched achievements from Bioware. That "bug fix" doesn't work either, because I tried it and it did not work at all. I tired for this Ogre achievement about 6 times now.

I do believe that I've earned this achievement twice already, and it hasn't popped for me, either.  Will try deleting all saves associated with this DLC, as well as deleting and re-downloading said DLC, and giving it one more go.

i posted a topic on this too, not first seeing this one...



the fix didnt work for me either, and when i contacted tech support they just sent me here... he said there was no patch in the works that he knew of, or rather "no update on this information" when i asked about a patch...

i have every achievement except this one... so im quite pissed about this,

no patch soon, then i quit bioware

Hmm, odd that you all are having this issue. I had no trouble at all getting this achievement first time through. Are you all sure you thralled your original Ogre after opening the gate for the second Ogre?



As sassparella has already hit on, once you open that gate both Ogre's come rolling through and it's very easy to thrall the wrong one. I would suggest saving right before opening the gate to make sure you get your original back and just make sure that focker does'nt get himself killed, he's tough but not terribly bright.

I am having an issue with this as well. I did this about 5 times now. Still hasn't popped up for me. I tried that fix posted as well, nothing. I know I have the right one because he is fully approved. I really do not want to play through this DLC one more time to get this achievement. It is really bugging me man. I don't know what to do to get this to unlock!

Finally I got the achievement!!!



The achievement won't pop up if you are playing in casual difficulty, I beat the game in normal and got it.

Weird!  I did it in casual!  It seems as if this is a very inconsistent glitch!

For me, the criteria for getting it unbugged was the fact that my dragon age was installed on my hard drive. I was wondering why certain events were triggering at once or in rapid succession. I deleted and reinstalled the DLC, deleted all my saves prior to that, and started a new game on normal. give it a try, lemme know if it works for anyone else.

I got it on casual so that's not it. Though maybe changing difficulty modes helps when you have the glitch.

Yeah, this stinks. I mean, I know I kept the ogre alive, and I know it was the right ogre, but I'm not in the mood to mess around with difficulty settings until the game recognizes it (I play on "normal"). It should just work. The add-on isn't that great to begin with (IMO), so let's at least get the silly stuff to work. * groan * I hate having an unaccomplished accomplishment.

Awesome, another achievement fail. I've tried enough weird solutions while trying to get blight-queller, without success, so I'm gonna save myself the frustration and avoid Darkspawn Chronicles.

I've been struggling with this too; tried all the suggestions on achievements.org..., tried on different difficulties; what's really frustrating is that some players get the cheeve with no problem, others like me, well; this is garbage, Bioware! I tried saving right before the Ogre pen where there might be confusion and played through with both Ogres one at at time, too. That might work for someone though.

you cant enthrall two ogres at once tho,, i thought of that too :-s



but if u max out the appoval of the first ogre when u get it to start its easier to tell which ogre is which...ive tried all sorts of stuff...

Yeah, ditto, its driving me mad too, also the only achievement I'm missing getting sick of playing it just to fail getting the achievement. I've deleted the save, the dlc, my profile & my memory cache and still no go.

I tried deleteing system cache (system settings/memory/hit Y and scroll to Clear Cache, say yes to maintenence) deleted all saves in DC, switched to Awakenings disc just in case that made any difference and played from scratch and IT WORKED. Got Ogre Keeper despite having Sten kill him once. I just reloaded the auto-save immediately, redid the palace and it still popped when the credits rolled. I have to say I was pretty POd when this happened again. Are the new Bioware incapable of learning from the ach. glitches they had just months ago? I have had to put in more effort on this title than everything else since launch put together. Better now. Good luck.

In fact, I got all achievements the first playthrough.
