My favourite is Thief: The Dark Project. There's something about sneaking into a mansion patrolled by stupid guards without being detected and snitching everything of value with no one the wiser.

Right Here! TDP (followed closely by Thief 2) is my all time favorite stealth game. It's pretty much tied with ME1 for my #1 game of all time.

Other things that come to mind are Kotor 1, System Shock 2, Deus Ex, Splinter Cell 1-3, Jade Empire and first two Jedi Knights.

I can think of great games so ill go with ones i played the most

Singleplayer: Fallout 3 - cause it can be moded into almost anything postapocalyptic

Multiplayer: NWN 2 - people make some awesome persistant worlds

But I agree with the OP. Originally OoT was my favorite game of all time, second was Majora's Mask, and third was ME1. And OoT has been my #1 game ever since I first beat it many years ago, and nothing has ever come close to knocking it off my top spot. But ME2 is just so incredibly amazing. I have never been so impressed by, and passionate about a video game before. So now I comfortably say that ME2 is my favorite game of all time. And hopefully ME3 will be able to take my #1 spot when it's released.

I think my favourite game varies with time - technological advancements and things tend to do that.



But the top few (in no particular order):

KOTOR (and 2 to some extent)

Jedi Knight series - Jedi Academy multiplayer especially.

Half Life series

Mirrors Edge - I hope they do more with this.

and of course ME1 and ME2, or else I wouldn't be posting here.



Honourable mentions to Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Mario Kart for fun gameplay with friends.

how come noones mentioned bioshock? very few things are as amazing as the first couple of minutes of bioshock 1, not to mention the whole "would you kindly" episode, blew my nads off it was so good!
