You can get 2 backpacks from the NPC in Ostagar...
1 in day time and another at night time
as for the rest I'm not really sure...but I remember getting to 120 items limit pretty early into the game and I only finished the Broken Circle main quest by then.

Missed the night time backpack from Ostagar, might have to go back and play-through again...
Most of my inventory is full of crafting junk and junk for Shale.

You could always just get Warden's Keep and store it all in your Party Chest there

I also have Wardens Keep and the storage there, but I'm a money hungry hoarder and like to be able to carry as much stuff out of the 'dungeons' as possible to sell. Heres another two for you:
1. In Denerim, the Dwarf NPC near the marketplace. I forget the name, Korim or something like that.
2. The dwarf who sets up shop in your camp after you save them in Lothering.

The Ostagar quartermaster sells a second packpack? I swear I overlooked that. Argh. No way am I going to go back to that save, but it's good to know for replays with other characters.
