I've just finished my follower hiring script and got it working, along with my custom char_stage, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to have my follower then default to a new conversation.   The hiring script is fired from the initial conversation with the henchman, and every time I click on the henchman after,  I'm still getting the hiring conversation.

Is this done through scripting, or through the creature or dialogue resource properties?

One solution is to write 2 main dialog branches in your conversation. Then set a plot condition for each branch, so when one is visible, the other isn't.

Here you have a more detailed descriptiong about how to do it:

Thanks. Found the part in the tutorial, that addresses this without scripts or plots. In the dialogue at the line that you don't want repeated you, under plot and scripting theres a section called Line Settings and the Visibility can be set to Only show once per game, or once per conversation.

If the player has an option of not accepting the follower in the conversation, it would require using plot flags to check if the follower has joined. Otherwise, they would not get that option a second time if you use once per game on that branch.

Ahh, I see. I'll try and follow the plot tutorial to figure out how to do this.
