Was I supposed to receive an email or some such on uploading a character to be able to get the Luck Stone that is shown on the Character Creater download screen?
Is this something we will be able to apply to whatever final character we end up with or only our uploaded character?
Inquiring minds want to know.

Most of us did not get an email, though if you have uploaded a character then you should get a lucky stone.

Receiving the email can take some time, and you'll only receive it if while signing up you gave Bioware the permission to send you emails. I think it was said that when you log in the game will automatically detect whether you've uploaded characters and give you the ring accordingly regardless of whether you've gotten the email, so I wouldn't worry if you don't receive it.
This is just my assumption but I believe it'll work for all of our characters, not just the ones uploaded. Can anyone confirm that, by the way?

The Luck Stone will be available when you install DAO. That's what game producer Fernando Melo said in one of thousands thread about this.

I appreciate the response to the 1001st thread on the subject.Maufurtado wrote...

For the record I DID try to search up related threads with little luck (or luck stone for that matter..). I think the search feature is a little wonky. I would be delighted to be referenced to a previous informative thread on the subject.
I would be interested to know if it applies to only online characters or to any character I create since I planned to try a number of characters but not to make them in advance.

Currently if you use your old account from the bioware forums you never get asked that permission question which is why a lot of us haven't got any email. Fernando said he is looking into it .AnyaC wrote...
