As the title mentions, I am wondeing if the specializations have any impact on the story.
I was initially a little disappointed when I could not heal that wounded soldier in the Wilds as my creation Mage, and Alistair patched him up... Now having recently patched the Urn of Sacred Ashes quest there is this option where you ask Wynne to 'heal' the Brother whatshisname.
Sadly I have yet to gain any specializations for myself (I did 'accidentally' unlock Blood Magic) as my level 11-12 Mage... Wynne has decided not to bless me with Spirit Healing yet... But I was wondering if it'll have any impact on the story... The little things are what I like, where they talk to you as Blood Mage, or Spirit Healer or some such... Or an option to heal in conversations (E.g the Wounded Soldier) if you are a Spirit Healer etc.
I am tempting to get either Blood Magic or Arcane Warrior as my secondairy profession, the first of which I 'accidentally' unlocked when I wanted to see a different outcome with Conner (Unlocked, reloaded to what I initially planned) but will certain team members or others still frown at me when I pick up Blood magic for example?
Impact of Specializations on story.

I'm not entirely sure, but I don't think so.
On my first playthrough I was a Berserker/Champion and nobody ever picked up on them, I also got some Blood Skills from the Warden's Keep DLC, which nobody noticed either.
I suppose potentially if you picked Reaver or Blood Mage that someone might object, but I seriously doubt it, most things are even in DA and if nobody in the game notices one specialisation, I doubt they'd notice another; they also seem to keep your class/specialisation out of any story other than being taught it by someone/something.
Wynne never teaches you Spirit Healer btw, you need to go buy the manual from the mage shop in the Denerim Market District.

They just object if they are present when you become a reaver (because wynne and lilianna don't want to see the urn destroyed)

incorrect, she'll teach you if she likes you enough and you ask the right questions.

Shame. Shame. And yes, I knew about the objection part... I actually corrupted the urn just to see how they would respond. (See if I could get Blood Magic from the dragon instead... seemed less corrupt than from the demon, and since I am a goodie-two-shoes mage...) Was thinking to simply pick up Blood Magic with the excuse of 'studying it' to 'counter it' kind of... But seeing they don't respond anyway to specializations... well that's a shame.

I wanted to become a reaver, though getting there I didn't like that I had to ruin the urn of ashes. The first time I had wynne in the party and she turned hostile, so I took her out and tried it a second time. Thought I was good as I was able to get her to join my party after I completed becoming a reaver, but once we got back to camp she had this dialogue about it and left. So not sure if it's possible to keep wynne and become a reaver, I didn't want to lose her as she's my only healer at the moment, so no reaver for me I guess. Went with berserker.

Yeah. If you want reaver, you'll need say Morrigan specialized in healing I suppose. Or live without a healer.
