Is Legion's inorganic status not properly recognized ingame?

The most obvious one is on Haestrom.
According to the information supplied, Geth shields are not affected by the radiation which shuts down everyone else's shields.
But whenever Legion was in the sunlight, his shields shut down.
He's a Geth, so shouldn't he be observing the same rules as the others?
And the use of medigel to revive Legion is similarly bizarre.
He's a mechanical lifeform, therefore medigel does not work on him and should not be used to revive him.
Like the first time he's activated, you should send a signal from your omnitool to reactivate him.

I had lots of omnigel in my ME1 saves.
Shepard has the only working omnigel converter in the whole galaxy

Aren't the geth in Haestrom heretics?. Diff tech all together perhaps?
Specially if the heretics ( or reapers ) are responsible for messing up Haestrom sun.
They surely would have some countermeasure against that

Since it's never specified.
They could be Heretics blowing up the sun or doing some unspecified task for the Reapers.
Or they could just be ordinary Geth responding to a territory incursion.
Did none of those Geth think to say "Hey Legion, are these guys with you? Okay, all Geth stand down".
Geth technology is not different just because of factions.
They all use the same tech.
The omnigel would have made more sense, in terms of gameplay.
Just add an omnigel stock and use it to reactivate Legion instead of medigel,

They had separate items for droids in KotOR. The result of which was that I never used the droids more than necessary, ever.
Good point. Needing to maintain both med packs and repair kits to be able to heal your all your squadmates was annoying on hard difficulty.

Especially since there is specific dialogue responses from Kal and Tali if Legion is present.
Seeing as how the Devs accomodated for that eventuality, I would say Legion was intended to be playable for Haestrom.

As far as i know Legion was not intended to be playable at the Haestrom mission, so i think the point is moot.
You don't need to mod or hack your save game.
Don't recruit Tali. Just do all the other missions. Eventually, TIM will send you to the disabled collector ship, and right after that, the IFF mission is available. Go there, and you'll have Legion before Tali.

of course he was. either as the above post suggests or via mod, Legion has as much dialog and comments during that mission, including with Reeger [sp] and Tali, as any other squadmate. the only reason the recruitment missions were ever split was because of xbox's memory deficiencies. there is also the rumor that Legion would have been one of if not the first squadmate "recruited."

Breaking up the recruitment missions between before and after horizon is due to the xbox's disc swapping limitations. Being unable to pick up Legion until late is due to a rewrite however. Originally the geth were supposed to have recovered Sheperd, hence getting Legion early.
