How do you start Darkspawn Chronicles? I just downloaded and installed it. I went into one of my characters. I went to the World Map. I do not see it anywhere. I did not see an option on the original menu screen before I loaded the game either.

start a new game and you will be given an option

Indeed, Start new game and then choose which game you want to play. It should bee listed as separate from Dragon Age: Origins.
