I don't think we are alone..:)  I think that there HAS to be other living organisms out there in the massive universe,  and I think that maybe one day it will be possible to populate other environmentally favorable planets..in time, if we survive ourselves and our constant warring.

We can't be the only living beings in this entire universe.....if we evolved then there has to be the chance that it happened elsewhere too.    We just haven't reached out far enough yet....

Biologically speaking, humankind was never alone. Look at all the animals we have on this planet!
But logically speaking, from what I know the universe is pretty much infinite... so if we follow the rule, then I guess there is a 100% there are infinite other species in the universe. Question is, how many are on the milky way?

Ahh too bad I'm not immortal ..I would love to know the answer to that question. :)

I have my own idea of life forms... basically, and to make it short, I think we are basically the thought of someone else, in another universe... And when we think of a parallel universe, we basically create one. We are god... our mind is god...

I agree that absence of evidence isn't necessarily evidence of absence, but life on earth is the outcome of chance and time, one little mishap and life may have never evolved or may not have ever existed in the first place. The whole idea of infinity is to allow that anything can happen and we can never be certain, so yes, that means it's possible for extraterrestrial life to exist in the universe, but that doesn't mean it's probable.

Im confused!

So apperently we are screwed because Zombies created a Bioweapon to use against Humans because we are god, but nothing can stop the Zerg Swarm.

They need to create a bactaria that loves to eat just oil and then dump in the gulf, then let it strave

(Also I don't get the Zombie ...virus... from resident evil reference... virus vs bacteria, bacteria can be treated/destroyed they are living, (viruses aren't the same thing)

They actually do have that, unless you were being sarcastic. In that case I apologize. They need to create one that corrects the color change on grease stains that have gone through the wash. That would be a true testament to mankind's achievements.

Interesting thing about the gulf, I have been reading some sciencey articles and yeah this spill is nasty.  (Im not going to get into politics of it), but I learned that actually oil leaks up from the ocean floor on a regualar basis, without the assistance of man.    And there have been lolz of oil spills worse then this around the world except people hardly know about it because it occurs in the most remote areasInteresting stuff.

Anyone here read Nat Geo?

Yeah, those average oil leaks are cleaned up by nature's microbes, but I ment a man made super oil eating machine so to speak lol.
Bad thing about an oil spill, however, it is large in one area I suppose and blocks oxygen to those.

Anyone else think BP is fudging the amount thats actually coming out?  Most top sciecntists seem to think 20k-90k instead of 5k barrels. BP is agreeing and saying 5k is low now... but how much you think?

:o  My own Grunt, dualwielding chainsword and chainsawgun...me sat on a chair on his hump with one of those beer hats on while ordering him about...I have a simple dream, a dream in which a man can ride a genetically engineered krogan into battle  armed with various variations on chainsaws, but I am now assured that my dream may one day come to fruition...

He needs a hump to put my deck chair, plus he just isn't big enough? And is that a machine gun? Where's the chainsaw. I'm sorry but this Fawkes guy just doesn't meet my requirements, needs more krogan in him.

And a hump, I suppose in a pinch he might be adequate, but it would only be a temporary arrangement and very uncomfortable too, the deck chair wouldn't have anywhere to stay. I suppose I could have a couple on leads running ahead as I ride my krogan...
