But .... doubt they will... still hoping for a Mhairi mod, but they gotta update the Toolset first before we'll see one.

I find it stupid that Bioware did what they did with her. Why waste the time giving her a video and all that, considering what happens? Ya could've maybe fixed one or two of the million bugs in Awk.
It's just the Old Bait and Switch routine. I'm sure they did the same thing for Origins. I remember seeing Jory and Daveth marketing and fan threads looking forward to having those companions in the party before they were redshirted. Also I doubt the marketing/promo/video person who did the Mhairi stuff would have been on the programming team...though that might explain a few things.

Apparently girls can only be rogues or mages...maybe male PCs get scared of women who can wear heavy armour and swing two-handed weapons?

my female mage is now an arcane warrior and heavy armor she wears.Wading into the fray amongst the male characters is cool plus spells as a back up.Yes it would have been nice to add her and I agree a female lead character would be a plus!Shadow of Light Dragon wrote...
I'm still living in hope that DA will one day give us a dedicated female warrior as a party member.

I think she was actullay an interesting character who had good chemistry with the other NPCs. I would have dropped Velena for her in a heartbeat.

As it is, there's always one or two companions who spend little time with the party. Maybe that's why the approvals have to jump so quickly.

People love what they can't have. This was a huge deal because now we have a bland NPC that no one can have, so everyone wants her back. Typical.
Oh no, people liked an NPC!
Um...yes?
Anyway, I never said I wanted her back. I just want a female warrior party member.

Actually i would rather have her than Oghren, so I get a bland NPC that I don't use. Typical.

I loathe Mhairi. So very generic.
Drunken dwarves and elves that hate all humans aren't generic characters or anything. Those have never been done before.

Dunno. What little dialogue there was for her may have been a bit generic and bland.
Who knows - there could have been far more interesting aspects to her - as there were with the others - you just never got to find out.
I hope a mod maker will come up with some interesting additional backstory. Why was she so eager? Etc.
