After installing the toolset I am unable to make a new game in DAO. I made myself sure not to touch any of the singleplayer files in the editor. Is there a way around this? 

edit: I just opened my save and now I cannot talk to shale. Also when talking to a few npcs their faces are all zoomed in and broken. How did installing the toolset do this to my game?

Can someone please help me? I don't like the idea of paying 50 dollars for a game and then having it broken by a toolset.
