Hey there , I havent updated my PS3 due to the firmware screwing things up on DA , supposeddly it is fixed up , but I keep finding posts that say it doesnt , and worse yet people with DA Awakening Disk cant even play it..... is this true or not? I want to update because I wish to play a certain "western" game online , but I still wish to play my DA:O and DA:A without trouble.... so for how many people this patch has actually worked? And has it worked on DA:A (disk based) too?

Mine has been updated for awhile. I waited for DA to come up with a new patch and I got that last night and everything seems to be fine with my game.

Go ahead and update. The patch for DA released earlier this week fixes the freezing issues that was caused by the new firmware

Since the patch fix I have played well over 15 hours and not a single problem. I used to freeze up all the time. So in my book its a clean fix.
