Just as the topic says.  What would you all say is the best bonus skill to pick for each class?

Best is subjective.

However from personal use I have enjoyed CC with engineer and the flashbang on insanity.

Adept I like to take Energy drain for non-collector missions and Squad warp ammo for collector missions.

Vanguard generally gets Improved Geth Shield bonus, and may switch to Squad warp for Collectors if I feel like it.

Infiltrator generally gets AP, or Warp depending on mission.

Haven't played the others enough to have opinion.

for me-

Adept: Warp ammo

Sentinel: Energy drain or AP ammo

Infiltrator: AP ammo or Warp ammo

Soldier: Neural shock or none at all

Engineer: AP ammo

Vanguard: Neural shock

Of course, it goes without saying that any class will be very powerful with Reave.

Vanguard: reave

Infiltrator: GSB improved

Soldier: either improved GSB/ Barrier(the effects of raised shield last for as long as the time even if the animation of shiny shield goes away so I found improved barriers very very useful in my soldier. Nevertheless on higher difficulties I found both to be very useful, specially the +10% dmg of GSB)

Personal preference, which is completely "wrong" for the purists:

Vanguard: Barrier

Sentinel: AP Ammo

Adept: Barrier

Engineer: AP Ammo

Soldier: Geth Shield Boost

Infiltrator: Geth Shield Boost

I don't have Kasumi, so Flashbang is not an option yet.

I can't speak for all classes but for Soldier I like E-drain, so I can strip shields without using ammo. And for an infiltrator I like AP ammo, giving the widow massive damage.

That's only against armor and health. Most opponents don't have armor, and some of those that do (vorcha) are very weak. And most opponents, when down to health, die from one widow shot w/ cloak or headshot anyway. Though I agree it's a good choice.

What about krogan? And you also have disruptor ammo for shielded enemies

If you're playing on Insanity, most opponents do have armor.

Obviously AP ammo will be good against krogan. But that's just the point - you don't see krogan everywhere. Most of the time you'll be using disruptor ammo with widow.

I'm playing an Engineer right now, and want to know what you lot think. I've got warp ammo because the one thing I can't take down are barriers. Also, I take a biotic along most times, and that seems a good synergy: I take down the shields/armour, they pull, I shoot with warp ammo.

But I see a lot of you suggest AP ammo. What advantage does that have?

Personally:

Adept - Warp Ammo

Soldier - Flashbang Grenade

Engineer - Dominate

Infiltrator - Energy Drain

Vanguard - Slam

Sentinel - In my opinion the Sentinel cannot afford even one point in a bonus power, but I would go with AP Ammo

Actually the Sentinel needs the bonus power in order to do an effective min/max build.

I've come to terms with the fact that people look at the bonus talent only as a way to fill a weakness... once you realize that it can used as an alternate to a utility power that requires points spend in a weak prerequisite power, it opens up a lot more builds for you.

In comparison to warp ammo, it offers a higher damage bonus on the squad evo or tungsten evo level than warp ammo will. The engineer isn't a biotic by nature, so there is less chance you'll get the additional damage bonus on enemies affected by biotics often enough. AP ammo offers no bonus against barriers, but barriers are always an enemy's first line of defense if they have it.

Use ally powers/attack drone on barriers if you have them. Worst case scenario, shoot it down.

I've found Flashbang incredibly useful in any mission that has Harby. Stops his bump you out of cover move cold.
