Hey all,
I have just bought the ME, thought the first part would be an appropriate start into ME universe. The game is very good but for one problem. My PC restarts every 15-20 minutes of play. I checked the forum, but most of the people ask about the problems with ME crashes. In my case the whole computer restarts.
-1. It’s important to identify which product is experiencing the problem.
a. PC
b. Digital download EA store
2. System Details
a. AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 6000+ , 2,00 ГБ
b. ASUS EAH3850 Series, 1,00 ГБ, ati2dvag.dll CATALYST 0 [6.14.10.7050]
c. Realtek Semiconductor Corp. RtkHDAud.sys [5.10.0.5345]
d. Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 3 (5.1.2600)
e. DirectX 9.0c (Nov2008)
3. Problem Details
Basically it can happen everywhere, while talking, shooting, flying. It happens about every 15 minutes now, but not with regular intervals. I dont have any idea what can be causing it and this is the first time I see a problem that is restarting computer, not just crashing the programm
thanks for help

You problem is likely caused by two things:
1. You are overheating your CPU or GPU.
2. Your power supply is being overheated or over-taxed.
Clean out the dust bunnies from your case with compressed air.

To make sure this isn't actually blue screens of death, check if your computer is set to restart automatically. Go to Control Panel, choose System, go to the Advanced tab and click Settings under Startup and Recovery. Under "System Failure" check if Automatically Restart is checked - if it is, uncheck it.

All things considered, there isn't enough information about HOW the reboot occurs to pin it down totally, although "heat" is very likely, true enough. For a low quality, elderly, or damaged power supply, almost any small heating is likely to reduce its efficiency below the threshold for the system to be getting enough power, so it may shut down when that happens.
Review the pinned thread in which I quoted Chris Priestley, and follow that set of instructions regarding problem reporting (you seem to have stopped after the part there that asked about hardware)..
But at the same time, obtain a temperature reporting utility and start using it.

P. S. In case it wasn't obvious yet, the game isn't the cause of the symptom at all. It is merely the test program pointing to the real problem. You will also note, if you return to this message, that I added a paragraph break to set apart my comment about incomplete information on the symptoms you've observed.
