I like Kaiden, I like Jacob. I just never talked to Kaiden in my first ME playthrough because I always used Garrus and Tali in my party. I talked to Jacob because it seems more encouraged in ME2.

Okay, your OP is really combative, and you come off like a troll, but I'll bite, reasons why I like Kaidan:

He is subtle and realistic, I actually like that I had to talk to him and listen to his words to understand his character.  In your face "extreme" characters are a dime a dozen, nuanced characters are more appealing to me, whether they're a love interest or not.

He tells Shepard his story because he cares about Shepard, and the mission, and wants to share his experience, to let Shepard know how he feels about aliens and losing self control.  He's a great example of the kind of second in command that I would want at my back.

His character is extremely useful as a squadmate, if you spec him correctly.  Putting Kaidan in one slot means I can put pretty much anyone else in the other spot, and have a balanced team.

As a love interest, he shows his interest early, but manages to stay professional to the end.  The romance felt natural, and not tacked on at the last minute.

Sooooo...are you going to give actual reasons why you *don't* like Kaidan, or at least give reasons why Jacob is a better character?

Hmm ok fine the reason i don't like kaiden is because i feel he comes off as having no emotion because his voice is so monotone.

Also he just comes off as depressed most of the time and i just don't care for it and i find jacob boring too just not for the same reasons

He tried to control his emotions, because of what happen in BAAT. He also doesn't let his emotions get the better of him as well like what happen in BAAT.





The depressed felling your getting doesn't fit well with me, since I tend too not get that feeling at all with Kaidan. I also find that your one of those people that hate people that are normal.

well i do dislike people who are abnormally normal but its just my opinion though

C9316 He is not abnormally normal he is a biotic AFTER all. He came through life not getting messed up, because of what happen in his life which I admire that about him.
