So...how do I get the Key to the City? I've collected all of the codex entries for the quest, and then I went to the assembly to get it....but nothing. .__. Am I missing something? Is there something I still have to do? I haven't sided with either Harrowmont or Bhelen yet, and neither have I entered the provings yet.

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: I just looked in my quest logs, both current and completed, and apparently, the quest isn't there . o_o don't tell me its bugged :|

One codex is in the provings.

Also the quest doesn't come up until after you get all of the codexes, so it probably isn't bugged.

Okay. I thought that old bug might still be in the game. I haven't done the quest since...oh god....who knows. XD So I thought I might have forgotten something.

I'll try seeing if I can click on them again, see if I missed any. :o Probably missed one when I went to click on it. Just dawned on me, I use a mouse instead of the touch pad, coz the touch pad is so sensitive, you only have to breathe on it, and the damn cursor will fly across the screen xD

You need to advance with either Harrowmont or Bhelan (do their quests first) before you get the codexes for the key to the city.

I'm not sure you can do it now, unless you go back to a save game before you did the codexes.

First off, you *Don't* need to do Bhelen's or Harromount's quests to get the Key to the City.  You just need to *get* either one's  lackey's first quest

Before dismissing this as an " old bug"   (its not)  or blaming your computer equipment, lets start from the beginning.   There are 5  "directives"  (scrolls on the floor) that you have to click on.    Their locations are:

1) Hall of Heros  (the entry hallway to Orzammar itself, where all the statues of the Paragons are)
2)  Orzamar commons  (on the Bridge right before the Proving  building
3)  Diamond quarter  (behind where you enter)
4) Dust town  (near where Rojek is)
5) Proving grounds building, (southern room.)

You'll know when you've clicked on all 5, because when you do, the quest will appear and will flat out tell you to go to the Assembly to collect your prize.

Well, I read all 5 but only 4 show up in my codex, and I can't finish the quest... is there a console thing I can do for help?

One is inside the proving in the south wing. If I remember right that area is locked until you are committed to one ruler or the other.

Once you have al lfive just go to the assembly and the chest will be there.

Not quite but close.  The north and south wings of the proving are locked up until you take at least one of the quests offered by Vartag (Bhelen) or Durin (Harrowmount).  You can take both quests and not commit yourself to either side and the Proving Doors still open [you can not complete both quests but you can start and even do parts of both]

EDIT: scratch that, my brain momentarily turned to mush, i didnt get the one in the proving ground area. my bad :P

Once you enter the Assembly Chamber, look to your left. There should be a crate there.
