I hope this is in the right spot, but it's not really spoiling the story line. Just a sweet gameplay bonus!

When I first learned we could collect model ships in game I was like, WHAT? We can customize Shepard's cabin? WHAT? Shepard has a cool case to store model ships!? Awesome! X)

Then I thought what would be even better is if Bioware or someone sold the actual model ships! I'm actually shocked to find that they don't exist already.  I bet they could make a nice profit. I've heard several people say they want models too and I've seen some pretty convencing lego versions. But I'd really like to have a real model kit that I put together myself. Always wanted a hobby other than videogames. What better hobby is there than one that envolves my favorite games?   The top ones I'd love to have are Sovereign, Normandy SR1 & 2, and that other big one that sits on the left side of Shepard's case. Can't remember the name.

So who's with me? And forgive me if this has been posted before.

well maybe if the character figures sell well we may see them for the release of ME3

Trading figures are one thing, kits are another ... there are some Gunpla I would not mind having as well some Macross Valkyries but its not something for beginners ("cut/glue/paint" is significant more work that "remove from box/display") and I stay away from that.

Yeah I've heard some people say they'd like pre-made models as well as DIY. I just think it'd be nice to build one with my own hands. And I like the option of painting them however you want even though I'd make my like the real deal. I know it won't be easy normally, but Im sure they can do simpler models. I'm just tired of the only sci-fi kits being Star Trek and Star Wars. They're nice but it's time for something new. Character's are great but it's just not the same as a sleek ship decorating my desk

Yeah, I would totally be into a Mako model for my son. He's only three, but he loves to drive the Mako around places with no enemies. 20 bucks well spent if it was a good model that didn't fall apart in a strong breeze.

I'd love a set of Mass Effect ship models, but I really doubt that it will happen, the moulds are far to expensive to make for something that might not sell well.

However if somehow they were able to release 1 of them, than it would have to be the SR1.

The first Normandy is just so iconic and it's sooooo much cooler looking than the SR2.

i have to disagree, i reckon the SR2 looks so much more badass
the sr1 was cool, but the sr2 is like its ultra cool big daddy (technically son but anyway)
i especially like the new tail and colour schemeB)

the Eve online model ships sold horribly, largely because they were so pricy, even the halo mega blocks vehicles aren't shifting as many units as expected. Granted the Revel snap-together Starwars stuff sold really well, especially for a kit, but the vehicles are so iconic and the series so popular i don't think ME would be hitting those kinda figures.

I don't reckon they'd be popular enough. The DC action figures are coming out, and look fab, but spaceships just don't have the same kinda pull as actual characters imo.

Nah, the SR1 looks miles better ( in my opinion ), it had the whole multi vector engine thing that was bad ass.  The SR2 just has engines that slide up and down it's wings slightly and just looks daft when it does it. ( Not to mention it's wings are angled wrong, for me they should have been angled up more. )
