I listened to the 2nd part of the documentary, but I didn't understand the main argument. It explained what a plot was at the beginning, but then kind of bounced around talking about characters and villains, never really convincing me that there was an argument in the first place. It felt like it lacked a beginning and an end.

If I had watched the 1st part of the documentary, I would have been able to discern what you were mainly plotting to do by knowing all the background information behind your argument. However, because I chose to criticize your the 2nd part of your documentary, I'll just assume that the rest of the argument is bad and that the writing of the whole documentary is bad. And you should feel bad.

I shall post on the forums demanding BioWare to correct the 3rd part of your documentary before I watch it. I'm not optimistic, though. Unless you further define what the plot actually is in the 1st or 2nd parts of the videos, then I remain unconvinced that the entire documentary ever had an actual argument or plot at all.

What? It was just my opinion on the 2nd part of the documentary, that's all. You people can't respect my opinion when I say that smudboy sucks for making that terrible 2nd part of his documentary?

I still don't see why he had to separate it into parts in order to make a single argument. It just makes it feel disconnected, especially by the 2nd video.

I understand YouTube imposes time restrictions on uploads - but still, can't he combine his review instead of having to hand it to us in pieces? It seems like YouTube is being greedy and telling him what he needs to do and how to begin and end his videos.

Am I missing something here?

No, it's just Smudboy being Smudboy.

But the 1st part was kind of good. I would have expected better of smudboy after watching the 2nd.

Maybe the dramatic effect wore off by the end of the first and I had my hopes up way too high for the 2nd.

I'm very disappointed in smudboy right now.

I think you had your hopes too much high for the second part and disliked the story presented.

What, I can't criticize everything about the 2nd part of the documentary just because I had my hopes too high? Why would I do that? So many flaws to point out and you guys didn't even notice them. You just sat there and watched it like it was some kind of non-interactive shooter game.

Gosh, you people are so biased.

Well, at least some people here are agreeing with me. That should make me more comfortable at brutally criticizng the documentary if I wish, because I know now that my opinion is in the majority.

The moderators are ignoring us, though. Them not being awake at midnight or early hours of the morning is inexcusable. They should listen to their fans and take my criticism of the 2nd part of smudboy's documentary into account.

What about the romances, huh? Smudboy didn't even make ANY mention of that in his 2nd video talking about Mass Effect 2. Does he not care about all the hard work WE put into criticizing the romances? It's like we don't even exist.

Im sorry, I could only stomach the first part of your rantings. The fact that you use Star Trek to support your arguement in anyway proves to me that you sir, fail. Star Trek as a whole, in all its forms and diversity, had plot holes in it the size of black holes. Someone rambles off a techno babble problem, usually one that according to their own "science" isn't possible(God help me if there is another flippin transporter accident), only to be solved by another prattling of techno babble spoutted off by Geordi, Data, or worst yet Wessly Crusher, usually in the last 10 to 15 minutes of the show, unless it was a two parter then its in the last 10-15 minutes of the next show. Go ahead and time it, I'll wait. Its called Suspension of Disbelief. Try it. And if you can't handle that. Dont play it, turn it off, change the disc, go read a book, do anything else but stand on a soap box and spout off pseudo-intellectual reasons as to why the main character can't be brought back to life. I'm not going to say that it was the best story out there, because it wasn't. It is meant to be a continuation of the first story. And more to the point, Its A Game, Entertainment. Like Silly Putty for the brain, completely pointless but still fun. All I see is one more critic who, because he can't do a thing, has to bash someone elses work to make themselves feel better. And since you have all the answers to the failings of this game (you rant on for over an hour so I can only assume you do), go make one better, I dare you.

We should totally have the same image in our signatures of a misguided young man to misrepresent and insult our opposition in a mocking, degrading fashion.

You mean spunkboyfapfap.   I will argue that ME2 romances were poorly done in my opinion, the love scenes are so watered down and the romance didn't feel very deep.

Meh.

Mass Effect 2 had plot holes.

The documentary had plot holes.

The making of my chocolate biscuit has plot holes. (Australian owned, made in Indonesia)

Don't let plot holes get in the way of a damn fine chocolate cookie is what I'm saying. Just accept the reasoning and enjoy it.

Oh it is Jib, but the thing is it's no where near the worst, even in RPG standerds. I have been playing video games for over twenty years and ME2 story is average at best, it was the sdie plots (Genophage, Geth and Quarian war and Cerberus) that where very strong and the characters.

Worst plot ever belongs to a game called Mantis.  Maybe the second half of Freelancer.  Maybe Command and Conquer 4.  Wait no, I've got it...

It was certainly sub-standard by Biowares standard and did have some plot holes that seem look easy to explain/ avoid, but it was still by far a very good game, the story in the second game was a bit dry, but a Kraiidy said, its defaintly not the worse story in exsistance. But hey maybe these plot holes are there for a reason and all will be explained in ME3, highly doubtful but hey, who knows :).

I personally thought it was better than NWN, KOTOR and Dragon Age, as Dragon Age only had character interaction (and basically was copy paste from generic fantasy setting 101, the world was detailed and realized quite a bit) and KOTOR only had PLOT TWIST.

Not the worst story, of course, but it was pretty bad....by BW standards as you all have mentioned.

I understand that a lot of people like it just b/c they've connected with a character in the game, via the loyalty missions. But, putting that aside, the main plot was bad...worse than any BW game to date, IMO.

Oh, are you for real!?  I thought those games had good plots that lived up to the BW standard.  ME2 was fail fail fail all around in regards to story.
