Is it total damage done by all characters throughout the playthrough or does it only factor in damage done by a party member while they are actually in the party?

The reason I ask is that my two primary damage dealers have been me at right around 30% and Morrigan at about 40%, but after doing "A Paragon of her Kind" and putting in Wynne instead of Morrigan for healing, my numbers jumped to 34% and Morrigan's have stayed static at 40%.

Anyone know the specifics?
