I didn't write it, only copied it. I don't want her to loose her patience if I don't copy it as is.

Animals are wonderful friends.  It breaks your heart when you have to say goodbye :crying:  but while they're with us, they are pure love <3<3

No matter how bad things are going (and we all have days), I know I have to get up and walk my doggie.  And she always loves me back, no matter how cross at the world I am.  And after a few licks, I'm usually not as cross anymore :D

Games are the same thing as movies, tv, reading (usually fiction), and
getting drunk/high. All are some kind of escape from reality.
Personally I choose gaming and reading, plus playing games with friends
is infinitely more enjoyable then watching tv/movies with them. I wont
comment on getting drunk/high cause in my opinion its one of the most
stupid things a human can do.

Hell even most hobbies are just escapes from reality, for exampe, I do some blacksmithing here and there, I did it today, why? Because I felt like it!! This skill wont really benefit me, sure its a cool conversation piece (imo) and its a little workout, but one could argue that because this wont really benefit me and its just something I do with my free time, its an escape from reality.

Escaping reality is not a bad thing, unless taken to an extreme point, such as partying so hard you dont remember what you did, or playing a game so much you suffer in your job/school/social ties. Everyone escapes from reality via some method, its not a bad thing.

Thats my argument.

Also reality sucks and is overrated....just saying.

To quote Mythbusters, Book: Explosive Decompression Verse: Rear Axle "I reject your reality, and subsitute my own."

(I didnt actually know the episode, I looked it up on wikiquote:))

That´s a good attitude.  I´m too. Well, only not a goddess but a god cos I´m unfortunately male:crying:

It is sad, though, that you can still be depressed and bored as god. I really lack believers. Damned secualr age:pinched:

Is it... I don't know... right to have an attitude like that? "I'm better!"?

Thinking you´re superior is always the right attitude. Of course it´s wrong, because you are not (I´m betterB):P). But you must still think you are. It´s good for self-esteem.

I'm better than everyone else at being me dangnabbit!

Also, pets are great for feeling better. I can be angry or depressed or whatever, and then the little Shiba Inu walks in the room with a squeaky ball and I can not resist to smile.

There is no harm in acting confident as long as one is not obnoxious about it. The danger comes in not tempering confidence with modesty. That leads to arrogance.

I'm pretty much hopeless at getting a life at the moment. Since I'm not in school, and I don't have a job. Video games is where I'm stuck. :P

I'm hoping it'll change a bit once I start back at college again next fall. But I'm not counting on it. I'm not very good with people, and I tend to be very shy.

I think adequecy is a bad term for it. Really. I don't see anything wrong with how I am as a person. I dislike where I am stuck at in my life. But you just have to make the best of it. A lot of people aren't interested in making new friends or associating with new people in modern society. But there are always other shy introverted people as well. If you go around picking them out, you'll eventually form a group to hang out with. Hopefully.

And contrary to popular belief, nerdy gamer girls do exist. And not all of us are hideous like people seem to believe.

Attractive nerds are like palm trees, they do exist, but far from where I am. Yes, including myself in that metaphor. Ugh I'm depressing myself. Pins and needles, needles and pins, it's a happy man that grins.^_^

This thread is starting to get very emo. Just reading it causes the song Mad World by Gary Jules to play in my head.

Depends on what your idea of attractive is.

You're more likely to find an average attractive nerd, male or female, than you are one at either extreme end.
