I read masturbating to simulated rape can make you feel less inadequate much more so than Mass Effect. Would it be ok to do that or very bad even though it's make believe? Wikipedia says it's sort of ok.
Just so you know, that sort of question isn't just in bad taste, it's a bit disturbing. But you're clearly having some problems in life, so I'll cut you a bit of slack.
The quick answer is-- no. And just because someone posted something on Wikipedia doesn't make it so.
The long answer is-- if you are escaping to fantasy, whether private daydreams or videogames, you're not being healthy. Fantasy, whether published fiction or your private thoughts, is a great recreation but not a replacement for going out and connecting with people. And judging by some of the things you've said, you're using fantasy to escape reality. That's not good.
Meeting people, especially if you're shy, can be rough. So don't try, just let friendships (not necessarily romances) happen of their own course. It does sound like you need to take a day or two just to get out. Take a long bike ride, hang at the local coffee house, go bookstore hopping downtown (if you live in a city). That sort of thing. Cliched, I know. But a bit sunlight can do wonders. There's studies on it, even.
