Firefox for sure, you can customize the crap out of it and make it very very secure.  If you aren't running noscript and adblock you need to be punched in the face to check it out.  Also if you are a taboholic like me (I usually have 6-20 tabs going) check out foxtab.   There is even a greasmonkey app designed just for these forums which make everything more compact and easy to use.  (No more giant avatars with each post on the main screen?  Yay!)

If firefox is crashing on you and..doing something..about page refreshes?  I don't really unsderstand what you are saying?  ...um....anyways if stuff like that is happening it sounds much more like user error than anything else, I have run FF since its first beta and have had very few issues.   It also has the best crash recovery of any browser I have tried. (remembering your tabs if you have a computer crash).

Chrome seems neat but a few things about it bother me.  It is not terribly secure, has little customization and frankly I detest the way they try to push the damned thing you all of the time, going so far as to install it with other software even if you select not to.  Also...no Stumbleupon?  How are you supposed to find random crap you don't care about?  Sheesh.

How is it less secure than FireFox? If your problem is that it sends some of your data to Google anonymously you might want to check out SRiron ;3 (It's exactly the same, minus the sending off data) it is highly customizable (it just takes a bit of work but once you've gotten use to it it's a piece of cake to customize)

But yes, I use to hate it when I was an IE user and every time I downloaded a google thing, I got Chrome too ;___;

By the way, Chrome has an ad block! :D

Firefox user here. I do like to use Google Chrome, but I don't like the layout of the browser and it does alias text (firefox latest does anti-alias text, which is what I like). Opera is slow on my computer and IE is the most buggiest piece of s**t when it first came out. Safari is ok on a mac, but it is meh.

IE8 is crap. IE7 was a lot better. But Firefox is quite a bit faster and is more customizable. I've never liked Chrome all that much, but it does a decent job.

I've always had problems with IE8 and its too slow for me. IE7 wasn't bad, but still not as fast or as customizable as FF. Chrome, however is just.. Not all that great lol.. I'll just leave it at that.

I did update it. That's where the problem was so I rolled it back to the one that works. Only time I can tolerate it is searching for Windows Updates manually..

Oh wow.. Someone that sees the problems with IE other than myself..

IE may 'function well', but as I said, its not nearly as fast as FF and lacks completely in customizing. IE is also full of security holes (I'm a pc tech and notice these things very quickly).

I'm using Chrome 3 for 2 days and it works better than IE and FF ... but using FF is easier. [I've used IE for 8 years and FF for 1.5 years] :)

Mozilla Firefox (along with Opera and Chrome) have a smaller share of the market, therefore are not prime targets for hackers. Anyone with any common sense will know that biggest share = biggest target = biggest results.

That's why Windows and IE are so "insecure", because they're the biggest targets and hackers, if they want to get data, will go for those because they will yield the largest "prize". Mac has so few viruses and/or exploited vulnerabilities because Mac keep a very tight rein on their OS, and because they're just not good targets. Linux, again, is a smaller target because the chance of getting anything useful is slim.

So yes, FireFox is automatically a lesser target. Not to mention its array of AddOns such as AdBlock Plus, NoScript etc allow you to customise and tighten the security to your personal tastes.

That is a big plus for FF, Shallow, but it still has a lot better security protocol when compared to IE, Chrome, Opera, ect.. And the AddOns are AWESOME. :D

Another Firefox user here. Switched years ago and have loved it ever since. Firefox + the NoScript addon = incredibly safe web browsing. Plus I love how Firefox handles tabs and how it looks in general (plus background themes!).

Perhaps, Adriano87, it isn't an issue with the browsers? Are you certain your system isn't virus/trojan infected? Or maybe it's just a bad ISP? I mean, if you're having trouble with ALL these browsers, the only logical conclusion is that there's some other issue. Firefox only crashes like once every few weeks for me, and I pretty much have it open all day long.

True for the latter two, not so sure about the former. Mozilla is much bigger than it was in 2005.
