How do I get a new council in Mass Effect 2 that is Human Led but NOT only humans.

That is to say I want a new council that has human, asari, turian, and salerian members.

From what I've read online and in threads on this very site that is a POSSIBLE start for ME2..  And I've been researching and according to what I've read the way to do that is to be a Paragon Shepard in Mass Effect 1 but when it comes time to save the council you choose to let them DIE.

Now I have a Paragon Soldier Female Shepard. And I've tired MULTIPLE things so that I could get this ending and the beginning intro to Mass Effect 2 would be what I described above.  To be more specific if you are Paragon and you let the council die you're SUPPOSED to get this at the beginning of ME2.

If the Councilors are killed in Mass Effect, and replaced by a multi-racial group led by the humans, the following text is displayed:

“In 2183, the heart of the galactic community suffered a devastating attack.

The Citadel space station was invaded by a synthetic geth army attempting to open a portal for the Reapers: enormous machines that eradicate all organic civilization every 50,000 years. Commander Shepard led the defense, but the Citadel Council was lost.

Now, the new human-led Council attempts to quell rumors of the Reapers' return. Hoping to ease public concern, they've sent Commander Shepard and the starship Normandy to wipe out all remaining geth resistance.”

This is from the Mass Effect wikia pagehttp://masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/Save_File_Transfer

Now I started this thread because I want to know EXACTLY what I need to do to get this for my import ME1 character.  I've tried

1) Choosing "Concentrate on Soverign"
2) Choosing "Let the Council Die"

BOTH of those end up with me getting the wrong intro. Instead of what I pasted above I get THIS in ME2

If the Councilors are killed in Mass Effect, and replaced by an all-human Council, the following text is displayed:

“One month after the devastating geth attack on the Citadel, humanity seized political control of the galaxy.

Now the human-led Council is forced to respond to evidence that the Reapers -- enormous machines that eradicate all advanced civilizations every 50,000 years — have returned. To quell the rumors, the Council has sent

Commander Shepard and the Normandy to wipe out the last pockets of geth resistance. Officially, they blame the invasion on the geth and their leader, a rogue Spectre.

But for those who know the truth, the search for answers is just beginning.”

Am I choosing the wrong dialogue options when I speak to Udina after everyone is rescued from the rubble? I tried using the paragon speech options when I choose "Concentrate on Soverign". And I used the renegade speech options when I choose "Let the Council Die".  There has to be something that I'm not doing right...

Or is this is just impossible and there is no "Human Led New Council" in ME2? Please if anyone has gotten the new Human Led Council can you PLEASE provide as specific details as you remember as to what you did in Mass Effect 1 to get that intro in ME2. I would greatly appreciate it.

Whether you choose Concentrate on Soverign or Let the Council Die doesn't matter

The Council is human-led, but that doesn't mean it's made up of only humans

EDIT: Also, what you select during dialogue after Shepard comes out of the rubble doesn't matter, since that isn't saved in the file that gets transfered into ME2 (which is why Miranda asks you who you chose as the councilor)

Go with "focus on sovereign" - Then you get a new council with a human chairman rather than a new council with all human members that come up up with "let the council die".

You won't see the new council though, they will refuse to see you in ME2 though and you will settle all with anderson.

Like I said above I've done "Concentrated on Soverign"

And I STILL end up getting the 2nd intro that I posted. The one where "Humanity seized political controL"

As OPPOSED to the FIRST intro I posted which is, "In 2138 the heart of the galaxy...blah blah"

Again I have chosen Concentrate on Soverign as a Paragon Shepard and I still don't get that intro at the beginning of Mass Effect 2.

Does it have it do with the dialogue you say after the battle with Saren. When you're talking to Udina in the sunny courtyard?

Easy: You go paragon, then get the Council killed.

I get the impression Bioware never developed the scenario of the new alien Council.

There is no such option (get the savegame editor and check the ME1 flags)

Uhm... I meant the scenario that the OP mentioned. Let the Council die but form a new Council with the other races but let it be lead by a human.

What flag is there for the new ME2 character? Human-led or all-Human?

Yes, I know, I'm just just confirming your impression that there's no such thing (by checking the savegame editor you can see which choices carry over)

[Virmire] Wrex killed by Ashley
[Virmire] Rescued Ashley, if Shepard is male
[Virmire] Rescued Kaidan, if Shepard is female
[Citadel] Abandoned the Council
[Citadel] Chose Udina
[Henchmen] Garrus recruited
[Henchmen] Wrex recruited
[Virmire] Rana Thanoptis is dead

Note: you can check out the savegame editor even if you don't have ME2 on PC

I don't think it's possible in the final game (ME2), that outcome only exists at the end of ME1, and defaults to an all human council if you import it

Uh, thanks. Now I get it.

I always had an impression that the consiequences were binary for the Council choice, even though we were led to believe that the paragon score put aliens on the New Council, and renegade score excluded them...

I was under the impression that the outcome depended on two different flags: Paragon vs. Renegade, and Council status. Both of these are recorded.

Try watching it again. It says the human-led council

Dude are you purposely ignoring my point? Thats NOT my issue. I even have "Human Led" in my thread title...

I'm ASKING how do I get that introduction in Mass Effect 2...thats all I want to know. And I posted exact details as to what I've done.

Thats a different intro the one I got (the 2nd one posted). AND I'm asking how do I get the one is in that youtube video.

From what I'v heard you have to Paragon. And you have to have the council die of course. My confusion is that I've chosen BOTH

1) Concentrate on Soverign

AND

2) Let the Council Die

BOTH OF THEM gave me a ME2 intro that is NOT the one in that youtube video...I don't know how much more clearer I can be...

Just put Anderson in charge, it will be of human and alien.

EDIT: Never mind.

I just checked it. Same result. Paragon score + Concentrate on Sovereign returns "Humanity seized control" ME2 intro.

OP, you better try contact the guy who put that 1st intro you quote on Youtube, and ask where the hell did he get it.

I've put Anderson in charge both times....I hate Udina

What glitches are you referring to? Specifically the Lorik Q'in one. I think in this playthru I turned over the evidence to him instead of that annoying witch officer/internal affairs agent.

Also wouldn't the fact that the save file was recognized by Mass Effect 2's import utility mean that the save file is NOT corrupted?

I may be wrong on that last part though...just a guess on my part.  At this point I have just the 2 saves for this FemShepard and the way I tell the difference is by the time stamps.

Edited my previous post.

Using glitches results in incorrect decision results returning in ME2, but that's not it. I've just used a perfectly clear single ME1 playthrough save.

And Anderson/Udina choice is not recorded in ME1 saves.
