At the very least, I suppose it means I ought to just start saying things when I have something to say instead of assuming someone else will say it for me eventually. That way, the next time something like this happens (assuming there is a "next time") I might actually be considered.

It hasn't work that way in past Bioware run events. It has mostly been randomly chosen people, regardless of what their post count is.

Wow. What an amazing opportunity. Threw my hat into the ring.. though I am not the perfect candidate because of my location. But, entered for the fun of it all anyhow.

Wow... would be so awesome to go but sadly my schooling takes priority. Doesn't help things much when your professors are your parents and your adviser is a friend of the family.

Eck, too little notice to get out of work for it and I'd never be able to convince school to let me miss class those days.

How did you even get in to Team USA? I don't recall a thread on the forum.

BioWare had its own criterion. We all just got PM's and Emails about it.

I think you should apply, personally. You've been here for a long time and do lots of work around, you're always enthusiastic, mature, and polite on the forums.

For any British fans that have popped in to see what the fuss is about; the Gamespot competition for an invite to their team for this event is open until 'midnight wednesday'. uk.gamespot.com/pc/rpg/dragonage/news.html

I'm not sure why the requirement on this is 21 when it's 18 on the other one.

I believe it's to do with the drinking age in the US being 21.

From Chris Priestly:

We have just announced the upcoming Dragon Age: Origins event Warden's Calling that will be taking place October 28 in London England. You can learn more about the event in this thread here: Click Here

I was responsible for selecting team members for Team Canada, Team BioWare and Team USA. Due to a last minute issue, one member of Team USA had to drop out. This means I have ONE spot available for Team USA and I need to select someone to take part in the event immediately.

So I am looking for ONE fan to be part of Team USA. If you want to be part of the team, please reply in this thread that you meet the below qualifications, you would like to be part of Team USA and be sent to London England for a chance to win your share of $50000. If you do not meet ALL of the below qualification you cannot be part of Team USA.

Qualifications
1 - Must be an American citizen living in the USA.
2 - Must be 21 or older.
3 - Must have a valid passport and be legally eligible to travel internationally.
4 - Must be able to travel to and from England between October 25 and October 30.
5 - Must be a big Dragon Age: Origins fan who wants to have a great time in London England.

This offer will close at 11am BioWare time tomorrow October 21. At that time I will select ONE person to be part of Team USA from those who apply and announce the winner here. I will then contact the lucky person through private message and get their information to start booking their travel and accommodation, so have your passport details ready.

Good luck to all applicants.

APPLY HERE

well dang...I'm Canadian LOL and I just discovered this thread a minute ago.   Ah well, GOOD LUCK to whoever was chosen if thats happened already.

Always been a wish/dream of mine to visit England...never had the funds nor the time before though.

While I am in no way eligible, I am wondering how someone 'competes' in a tournament for a game that is build around creating a single player experience? Seems rather odd to me, considering that speed runs would seem detrimental to enjoying the game that is built upon story.

Not for me I would say.

Its an event, not a competition

that's the only qualification I meet (maybe the 4th one as well)... Travelling do england is a dream to me, since my english course started organizing this kind of trips (and I hadn't enough money ¬¬), maybe in the future...
Well, good luck to everyone who tries to enter!
