OK, I can't find anyone that seems to be posting about the problem I am having, and this is very annoying. I bought Return to Ostagar, downloaded it, and installed it with no problem. It is active in my DLC list, but when I load up my game, it is like it is not installed it all...no new quest in the journal to start the DLC content and no new areas to go to, as is described on the wiki and by Bioware. I have deactivated it and reactivated it when saved in various locations, uninstalled it completely and redownloaded and reinstalled it, and even completely got rid of every mod I run (only use a handful) and still nothing happens. Any ideas on what could possibly be going wrong? The point I am at in the game is just before calling the Landsmeet.

I am also right where you are, and ran into the link in game with the content, discovering the fallen knight. I bought the DLC and it tried to download it, but wouldn't start downloading. When I rebooted, it was missing from my content, my points were deducted, and nada. Won't try and download it automatically. I have refreshed the points on the DLC Content screen and nada.



It is listed for purchase AGAIN but I don't know if anything will work now DLC. Most frustrating. I believe my updater is working OK.

That isn't exactly where I am. I have bought it, downloaded it, and installed it without a problem. The content just doesn't activate in game, as if it weren't installed. No new areas and no new quests. Anyone have any ideas?

Are you absolutely certain there's no new area? You need to go to Bann Loren's Land (I think that's his name). It should be on your word map to the north and east of the mage tower.

Nope...no new areas to be found. Very frustrating. I have never had a DLC I can't play like this.

I'm having this exact problem. I acquired ultimate edition and installed the dlc, they all work
except for return to ostagar
i installed it, but it's like I didn't, no new quest or area on the world map, is there any solution to this problem?

Is the DLC unauthorized because of this weekend's server issue? If not, then I suggest you check out the first few posts pinned to the top of the forum. A word of caution: until EA gets the DLC authorization server online, some troubleshooting options (for example, manually reinstalling Warden's Keep)... will likely be unsuccessful.

That's the thing, I got the game a few months ago, but honestly i didn't notice that specific DLC wasn't active, i thought it would trigger eventually, but I read up and it should be available right after Lothering, which it isn't. I dunno what to do =(

It's likely the EA Server issue... I can't access any of the Premium Content from the UE package, either. I can get all the other DLC, but not "special areas", gear from them, or most of the campaigns. They all require me to be logged in to the servers to access it. I can launch it, just not go there. ~smirks~

...and yes, I've tried all the tricks RI posted...

Are you sure? Cause I've had the game installed for some months and it has NEVER appeared in quest or map, not once. Also, I can access any other DLC except that one, i'm not sure the problem is with the servers =(

Hmmm.. In that case, are you sure you did the right thing to get it unlocked? If I remember right, it's a random event where you run into one of King Cailen's men as he's being jumped by some of Loghain's soldiers. After that, it unlocks...again, if my memory serves correctly.

Hmmm, no I don't believe that happened yet. But from what I read a quest simply appears in the current quests part. Along with a new location on the map. Also, in the downloadable content screen. Return to Ostagar is the only one without a "downloaded" sign next to them, indicating the game doesn't even recognize the file? i Honestly don't get this...

I guess I could try downloading it from the ps store. But i'm fearful it'll end up the same and i wasted money for nothing.

Guys, I figured out what's wrong. Apparently ALL european ps3 ultimate editions have this error. the return to ostagar DLC is busted in them. Tomorrow I will call EA support to get my redeem code. Thank you all so much for your help, I greatly appreciate it =D.
