Don't think they would use Tali, Garrus, Jack, Jacob, Kaidan, Ash. The reason why is because Liara and miri romance does fit the story alot better in some ways so if they where making a ME movie then they would use Liara and if they where planning on doing the trilogy (NO ) they would use miri in ME2. However if they combine both parts into onem ovie, well it will be a bigger mess. Only one solution, do a movie on the first contact war.

I think that if they do it about an outside event, it could be good. They have a well crafted universe, and people from Bioware are involved. Color me cautiously optimistic. I'd just rather not see them give Shepard a specific identity. Leave his story for the games. At any rate, it's probably too early to judge.

Maybe it will be the storyline of the Mass Effect trailer and default jerk Sheploo who lets the Council and Wrex die and who renegade bangs Jack only to then hit on Miranda. oO

The Mass Effect universe is rich, they have no excuse NOT to use material completely unrelated to the game's plot for a movie. If that's the case, then awesome. If not, I will still see it, but I won't enjoy seeing a Shepard on the big screen that has nothing in common with my own.

The devs have said that they won't establish a canon story because it's a game about choices. Now they've sold the rights to have a Mass Effect movie made, which clearly goes against their previous statement about there not being a 'canon' Shepard/set of choices.



This is quite the middle finger to the fans.

Miranda isn't introduced early enough in the story. I assume this movie is going to cover Mass Effect 1, and producers aren't going to let their audience go a whole movie without a love interest for male audiences to ogle over.

That's the thing. Now it's a movie you have to think of everything from a movie perspective, because you know the producers/directors will be.

Liara trying to find Shepards dead body fits better if she was a LI and for Miri it works on so many levels because it works well with her character dev. I know you are a Tali fan, but you have to look at alot of things. Liara (which I don't wan't, Ash was my LI) and Miri would work better.

Hm Tali does not fit the standard hot babe type that the average blockbuster kiddie likes.
Nothing against her, I mean, you can take it as a compliment if you want.

That has nothing to do with roamnce, I can alos go on to say that Tali loves Shepard no matter what, that exists in everyone's game, its just how you chose to act upon it

But that doesn't make her roamnce anymore canon than any of the others

Sad to say, this person is right. Hollywood executives would never let the love interest have a hidden face for the entire movie. No way. They would probably complain that no one would be able to relate to her/ogle her without seeing her face. Kinda dumb, I know.

I am not saying it';s canon, but it does fit better and makes it kinda beleiveable.  Do you think I would be happy with Liara being the li in a movie? Hell no, but I can even admit by looking at everything she does for Shepard, it does fit better and Miri's character devs alot better if she is a LI.

I don't see why you guys are fighting over which LI is the best for the movie.. Obviously you both have your favorite LI and you are both pulling for your own..



Anyway I would love to see a Mass Effect movie.. I highly doubt that Shepard will be in it though. Bioware has already said that they will never tell his story. That is up to the player. I'm not sure who the movie is going to be about but it won't be Shepard.

That said, I know enough about Hollywood to suspect what's really going to happen is they're going to pick a human love interest to keep the audience appeal and then change the story to make them have an important role in the game they don't exist or are a cameo in.

For those who are thinking "But there are so many LI's, you can't just pick one or two!" - Yes you can. And they will. Deal with it. It will be presumably Casey's favorite LI. Jack. Who is his fav LI in ME 1 I don't know. Some say Liara but he's been talking quite a lot rubbish about her so no idea.

Casey will have nothing to do with the movie.  He's not the script writer, he's not with Legendary and he isn't the person who optioned it (Avi Arad).  These people are going to make a movie that's as marketable as possible, nothing more nothing less.

If anything they will pick Liara. Look at Avatar. People loved that the romance was a lien. It would work if done right. They will not use Tali simply because in the marketing world she is not a seller. Liara, Ash, Miri hell even Jack are.

QFT, I'm just too angry about this movie to put it into words currently

I would love a movie about my Shepard, but then that rules out everyone else's Shepards
