It sounds like something they might involve someone like Michael Bay in so let's not take that risk please. A film about Garrus or Wrex on the other hand could become great.
All I can say is Garrus better be voiced by Brandon Keener and Wrex by Steven Barr otherwise I can not be held responsible for my actions and the destruction that would follow.

Seconded.
If I can listen to Brandon Keener (and Steven Barr) for 2 hours, I don't care if the movie is crap. My ears will be very pleased.

If it has nothing to do with the plot or characters of the main game then I am fine with it.

If they get a movie out and done that fast it WILL be crap. Seeing as there isnt even a script, we're talking YEARS before we even get to casting, let alone filming.

Actually I take it back. The best mass effect story which we haven't seen yet is the battle of shanshi! This must be the movie. The humans first contact with the turians. I mean my god its a sotry and a movie worth seeing. Ashly william's grandfathers greatest failure.
"Well, that depends on how you define 'winning'. You're here aren't you?"

If its done right it could be gold. I'm not its perfect, but its a story which doesn't involve Shepard and you can have guess Stars as Wrex and maybe some others sense they certian beings like garrus could just work on the citadel or something, but you wouldn't see them until the end of the movie and I'm a screenwriter. Trust me this story is great because it has the what if? factor.

Bruce Willis can not and will never play a military character that tucks tail and surrenders.

True but I always go back to Terminator 2 which was done in a relatively short production time, we all know how that turned out.
I have to remember that this is a Space Sci-fi, all the ships and galactic battles will take a LOT more time to create. So ya probably 2 to 3 years at minimum.

Any, actor who is willing to play a part of a character who is defeated is considered in my books a true actors. Yes, I bet if they gave him a great script and a good incentive. Bruce would do it. Look at the Sixth Sense. He played a character who died. My point has been made.
I'm not saying Bruce cant play the role. More that the standard movie going public wouldnt buy the concept of a big blockbuster action star like Bruce playing a high ranking military officer surrendering without some dramatic space battle. (and by surrend, it would mean blowing himself up to take the bastards out) Even more so if he's the LEAD role.

Bioware already has the Models for the ships and stuff. All they have to do is update the graphics to photo realistic which if done by the write team won't take long. You would be wise to behold the power fo green screen.
