Read the OP. There is a special ability that deals damage and reduces own damage, but not like you describe.

Now a perceptive reader will think, ah either the dwarf (because he is short, wimpy, and rather much like fodder) and his wife will die from the experienced assassin, or something magical will happen and that won't be the case, that in fact the assassin will die.

You would, in fact, be incorrect. Well about the outcome. Magic may be involved. But you would still be wrong. Mostly because of the other thing that Glorim'irr didn't see in his mug.

A lone abomination blasted forward through the wall behind the couple. Magical fire laced with darkness, flecked with blood poured from the figure. All Glorim'irr could feel was pain. All he could see was his beloved being incinerated. But he did feel a bit of glee at knowing that the bloody crow was just as much dead as he.
Then nothing.

You would be correct with Berserk, but normal attacks just deal 2 dmg

I guess it's too late to change the possible health loss now, but it won't matter much. In a worst case you would have attacked wrong two times, dealing 2 dmg to the dwarves which probably won't decide the game anyway

Don't take it personally, i just couldn't let the Blight have another killing blow. This was the first dwarves vs. Crows attack IIRC, so don't make any grudges, just join us and let's fight the rest of them ; )
